Deleted4868880User
Hi there, just a rhetorical question; would this spec support all the mods listed below? I'm in the market for a new rig and was wondering if it would support all my favourite looking mods? zyg0tic
PRobably would be fine, but itsnt the Ti version of the 660 a better card? You might also consider getting a card with more VRAM on it than just 2GB. I would also suggest getting a 256GB SSD as your C drive and a 1TB as your 2nd drive. I have a 128GB SSD for my C drive and I have all my games on their own SSD, a 256MB Samsung 840. My computer is about the same or better than that and Skyrim still has issues. You just learn to live with it, and while frame rate stutter and the occassional plummet do occur, CTDs dont for me really so that is good enough. Deleted4868880User
Cheers for the reply zyg0tic, since posting i decided to cut down on a fair few of the HD re textures, realised they'd just overwrite each other anyway, so that cuts a fair bit of the need for more than 2GB VRAM. As to your suggestion of the 660ti - i'll look into it, but I cant remember the differences, but you're probably right, the Ti suggests a better card. And I will look into the SSD, but I think I'll save it for a later date, and see how my current HDD layout handles. Then again, i'll check prices, not really sure how much SSDs go for, and i might snatch a deal in the Jan sales. Thanks :)
iDWr3Ck
I have that same CPUAsrock z77 extreme 4 motherboardEvga gtx 660ti superclocked8 gb Kingston hyper x ramAnd a just a mechanical hdd from my old rig I run Skyrim on ultra settings easily with 60fps. I also have about 30+ mods on it. Fxaa ppi, HD textures, W.A. T. E. R, lush trees, etc. I have a bunch of visually enhancing and retexture mods on as well and armor and weapon mods. I still get 55-60fps almost always. The only time I see drops is when transitioning to a scripted event and when quick saving. During those times it drops to the mid 40's for a split second. If I were you I would get the ti version. You should be fine bro.
