Hello everyone. I have official steam version of New Vegas Ultimate Ed. In the launcher after i press new game, launcher just restarts.i cant run the game. As i understood from forums and discussions its beacuse of the Intel UHD graphics. So i downloaded intel bypass patch, but it didnt fixed the problem. Any ideas what is the problem, and how to solve it ? Thank u. My specs: Laptop HP

Intel® Core i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz
8.00 GB RAM
Intel® UHD Graphics 620
Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Sorry, from your post I thought you were looking for an answer as to why the game didn't run.

The minimum requirements were pulled from the official Bethesda website.

Note there are two "CPU" speeds which sometimes confuse people. Your Laptop specs given in your post signature say "Intel® Core™ i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz". That is what is properly called the "system CPU" and usually what game requirements are specifying (and why M48A5 said you were "underspec") Your graphics card has it's own CPU (properly called a "Graphics Processor Unit" or GPU) which is only used for the video processing. Video memory is typically specified but not a GPU clock speed.

The web site your screenshot shows seems to somehow be saying your "dual core CPU" at 1.6GHz is the equivalent to a 3.9GHz CPU, but I note it is listed as two separate boxes of info. Note the "i" icon for the CPU field is different from the "check" icon in the other fields. I think it is "not passing" the site's minimum requirements test for that field. Even if you were double-clocked I don't see how that would be possible with a 1.6GHz CPU, but I'm not an overclocker so ... maybe? (Double-clocking a "stock" laptop would almost certainly cause massive overheating.) I would want to check it out on more than one site in such a case.

The "Launcher" is for detecting your hardware so it can configure the FalloutPrefs.INI file, which is saved in the "My Documents\Games\Fallout" folder. You should not run it again after that until something changes with either your hardware or the preferences you set there. Verify you have the "prefs" INI in your "My Documents" folder, and then run the game from the FalloutNV.EXE (or Steam) without using the Launcher. If you do not have the "prefs" file, then the most likely explanation under these circumstances is because it found your system not meeting minimum requirements (regardless of what some other web site says). Check for "*.log" files in the game's root folder ("steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas").

I recommend anyone read the entire "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article to understand the differences between this game and others you may have experience with; especially if this is your first attempt to play a modded FNV or it's been more than a year since you last did so. It is designed for someone who has never played a modded PC game before, so it tries to avoid making any assumptions, is kept "up-to-date", and covers years of "lessons learned".
