Skyrim No Fast Travel Challenge!

No Fast Travel is quite common among players on the Nexus I've found.

I don't use carriages though.

The only fast travel I do is when Im already in a city. I just fast travel to the stable or to different areas in the city to save time and boredom.

Horses are okay in my book. Mounted combat a little bit cheap, but the horse can still die because of it. Mine died today while I was riding it because of multi-spawn of assassins - I survived after falling off because I used intimidating shout asap.

Other challenges you might like are no potion spamming... I made a mod for it... http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/28958

Carriages are essentially fast travel anyway.

No fast travel =

Walk everywhere you go.

Ride your horse (without spamming sprinting and without speed boosts to horse speed).

Use Dragonkiller Cart.

Scenic Carriages (if it worked).

I did the TG Special Jobs using Dragonkiller Cart and it took me almost 1 month real time to finish them. 6 trips to every major hold (minimum), thats a lot of dead time travelling.

I hardly ever use fast travel. There is more chance to run into a random adventure when on foot. Generally, the only times I fast travel is when either there is some anomaly in my path causing me to CTD, I would have to go through an area that is affected by too many texture mods that cause my RAM to fill and CTD my game, or I have an idea for an awesome screenshot that happens to be on the other side of the world.

I've had nothing but problems with Scenic Carriages in Scenic mode. From Sabre Cats jumping in the back of it and killing the driver to random freezes. No problems using it in Vanilla mode, but Scenic mode is a crap shoot. Nothing worse than a 20 minute real time carriage ride ending in having to shut down Skyrim.
