Bridgers
Nope, that didn't work. The same error message appears whether or not it is activated.
Bridgers
Just bumping this as I haven't found a solution yet. Would it be worth contacting the makers of SKSE themselves?
LadyMilla
I admit I am at my wits' end. You can try and post your issue on the Bethesda forum: http://forums.bethsoft.com/forum/183-skyrim-mods/ SKSE developers have a topic there, but other users might also help. steve40
@Bridgers: maybe you need to add your Steam and/or Skyrim folder path to the Windows environment variables? In Windows 7 it is under System Properties, Advanced System Settings, Advanced tab, Environment Variables. I'm not familiar with Windows 8 though. Also, It kind of sounds like your files are being virtualized, so even though you can "see" them, they might actually be located in a different folder. Usually this location would be a hidden folder called "C:\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\".
Steelhawk55
I'm also having the same issue with my new windows 8 PC. Tried manual install and NMM install. Running the .exe regularly says corrupted, running as admin says program can't be found. Hopefully someone more computer savvy than myself comes up with a solution because some of the mods I want to use require skse...

MODinsane
I use Win 8 Pro x64 as well, but paid $5 for a cheap good utility called StarDock 8, which loads up like the old Win 7 Desktop and you can go back and forth between the old look and Win 8 using the Windows Key lower left on the keyboard. I run my game in the old Win 7 look, don't know if it matters, but the utility works very well.
