I've stopped playing skyrim for awhile now, when i left everything was working. I come back to it months later, update my nmm and no no longer will skyrim start. Nmm crashes on each and every unistallation of a mod. I remember why I stopped playing. Mod addiction and the numerous amount of bugs they can bring. My api log shows something about boss. Here the last of it: Tracing an Unhandled Exception:

Exception:

Message:

BOSS_API_ERROR_PLUGINS_FULL: The requested change to the active plugins list would result in over 255 plugins being active.

Any help would be appreciated . I assumed it was perhaps I had to many mods installed. However even the ones I've managed to delete have not resulted in my game working or nmm working correctly.

All TES games have a 255 mod limit. NMM goes into fits when you approach that number of mods, all active at once. Though you should still be able to get it up and running if they're not all active at the same time.

Try installing Wyre Bash and ghosting any mods currently not in use. Then unchecking about half of the mods you do have loading as well, that should make it easier for NMM to start up again. Good luck

I know of the mod limit, however I never went over it. My game was running fine before and although I do have more than 255 in my mod list, not all of them are active. Then when trying to get my list down to the bare minimum, It Nmm crashes with that error after i try to delete/deactivate one.

BOSS disagrees with you:

BOSS_API_ERROR_PLUGINS_FULL: The requested change to the active plugins list would result in over 255 plugins being active.

It looks like BOSS is causing the crash, not NMM.
