cumbrianlad
Hi, Once more I'd like to add my thanks to people who've helped me along the way on this forum. Aww! I could wax lyrical. Next, I'd like to say that I am possibly one of the least confident people on the planet, but I finally plucked up the courage and released 'Shades Of The Rift' on Nexus SSE. Best move I ever made... seriously. I feel way better than I have in years! I am now thoroughly enjoying answering questions, even if they are possible bugs or errors (most of them aren't, but it's still fun finding out and seeing if I need to add them to a new version). I'm now about to work on a (planned) expansion to the mod. I am only posting this to urge you all to keep going with your ideas... believe me, they are valid and with suitable guidance from this forum, they will be a success! i've made many personal mods, but this is the first I've dared to release. Practice makes perfect, as they say. Releasing the mod unleashed me. Now I have the confidence to do anything. I couldn't say that before. when you think you're ready, even if you're nervous, go for it! I get the feeling that there are many great mods out there that nobody has seen because of a lack of confidence on the part of the author*. Just do it. If you need help, I'm willing and so are many good people on this forum! 'Stay true to yourself, make mods, let them shine!'... not a bad catchphrase. * I've taken unreleased mods and 'fixed' them. Some of them have later been released. Sometimes all it needs is a few tweaks and a bit of encouragement... in all cases, the original concept was brilliant!
