First, this is so awesome that we can now mod FC3. But how do we install them once we have dl'd a mod? Any advice would be great thank you.

Copied from inarkin's reply below:

Install mods:

Most of the mods are coming in the patch.dat/fat files, so everything you need is:

1. Backup your own patch.dat and patch.fat files from the far cry 3/data_win32 folder

2. Copy new patch.dat and patch.fat files to the far cry 3/data_win32 folder

To uninstal you should just restore your own patch.dat and patch.fat files to the far cry 3/data_win32 folder

That's ok to asking. Adding this info to the OP will be useful for anyone who will face with install/uninstall problems.

Thanx. I will add it to the OP. It's good to know. Hopefully NMM will be updated to do it for us.

Guys how do you use many mods at the same time? I would have two mods I would like to enable, but both are in patch.dat/fat files :(

To use two or more mods altogether you should "merge" they. Or asking someone who can do it for you.

Here's some docs

http://www.modding.fc3wiki.com/Main_Page

Here's fc3 mod thread

http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/734046-Mods-for-Far-Cry-3

And here's personal place of the SVN toolset creator with the lates updates

http://svn.gib.me/builds/dunia2/

Just read infos. If you willing to learn it's not quite too hard to understand what and how to do.

I think WinMerge might be the easiest way to merge them. I haven't tried Gibbed's or Notepad++. So not sure how easy they are.

WinMerge is just text-tool. You still need Gibbed tools to unpack initial mods.

Just a reminder for fellow newbies; I had trouble unpacking the game files until I realized I wasn't running the unpacker in admin mode. Be sure to have the ticked under the unpacker's properties.

Now I'm having trouble with the unpacker crashing before it finishes
