YouDoNotKnowMyName
Good evening everybody! I have a question: How do you use "special characters" like Ö Ü Ä in map-marker names, so that they actually get displayed in the game?Whenever I try to use one of those characters, FO4edit gives me errors and the characters don't show up at all in the actual game. I know that it is possible, because I have the "german version" of Fallout 4 and some of the map markers have those characters in their "displayed name". If anybody knows how to do this, it would be really great!
DiodeLadder
Hello there, Even though the game itself supports UTF-8 encoding of text, CK doesn't. It's best to make your .esp in English in CK, and then use ESP-ESM Translator software to translate it with proper character encoding : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/921/? The cool thing about this software is that, you can create a dictionary/template for your project, so that every time you need to update your .esp, you can just auto-translate everything instantly using the project dictionary. deadbeeftffn
You can use umlauts in CK by inserting the correspondig UTF8-Codes "manually". ö -> öü -> üä -> äSo, instead of "Gelände" you would use "Gelände"
