My issue is the bodies of the raiders in my game are covered by the white ! in a red diamond. I've attempted narrowing it down to what was causing the issue and their skins aren't correct, they're mashed up or look crude. Something is wrong with the heads as well, when I decapitate them, the ! followed in the red triangle and their bodies remained with nothing displayed on them. Can anyone tell me what is going on or have any guess as to how to remedy this ordeal of mine? I'd appreciate any assistance.

~ M

Edit: I am using Rotten Raider Skin Replacement, and the raiders using that skin are using it correctly, the raiders using the MMM skins are not. However *all* raiders have the white ! on their heads and not bodies.

I've had and still have issues over body replacement mods. You have to keep in consideration that Meshes and Textures are two Majorly different things. You have to have textures to fit the main body mesh that You are using. The mesh is the Form. The Texture simply wraps itself around this Form. I'm using a large amount of armors that were not designed for the body style I'm unwilling to relinquish. So I have to put up with a couple of odd anomalies mainly concerning how the flesh shows. For example - If You are running a Type 3 mesh with Exnems texture basically You Are screwed. Doesn't work. I can't remember the textures I acquired for the ghouls bodies but I literally had to find textures that I liked for each race. I'm constantly manipulating these for my own visual pleasure anyway so in the long run it doesn't matter. Make sure the raider texture was designed for the body style You are using. Again Make sure to use Archive Invalidation !!! Any changes I make are ALWAYS THERE !!! I might add - Not Always to my Liking :)

P.S. I don't have issues with Breezes Male and there are (were?) textures specifically for raiders and ghouls (male and female) of this body type. Hope it Helps.

I have installed Breeze's and the male/female Raiders who use BEWARE OF GIRL Rotten Raider Skin replacement use those correctly. The Ghouls also work perfectly with their meshes and the textures used. It's the 4 MMM Raider textures I'm having issues with, Breeze is supposed to be compatible with them, but doesn't work. The female Raider textures are the same. I can't help but think Project Beauty may be to blame, I may end up uninstall/reinstalling the game.

KingOnigami - Hello!

"Breeze is supposed to be compatible with them, but doesn't work"

Breeze on it's own does definitely work with MMM.

I can't comment on how it works with Project Beauty as I don't use it.

You have to install Breeze after MMM, or reinstall it with MMM in so that it detects it & installs the MMM Raiders.

MMM Male Raider textures end up in:

Fallout 3\Data\Textures\MMMF3\characters\raider

BEWARE OF GIRL Rotten Raider Skin does say on the description page:

"NOTE: Marts Mutant Mod users: the male textures here are set for use with Breeze's male bodies and the textures in MMMF3 are not. As I use MMMF3 myself, I'm working on a Extension of this mod that will have MMMF3 friendly version textures (to work with Breeze's) come the end of the month. For people who do not know how to rework these textures to work with Marts Mutant Mod can wait for that release."

So it looks like there is no MMM compatability for those.

You could replace the MMM textures with copies of the matching Rotten Raider Skin's renamed to the MMM versions.

Also your MMM/FWE plugins are not correct.

It should be more like:

Mart's Mutant Mod.esm

Mart's Mutant Mod.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Anchorage.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC The Pitt.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Point Lookout.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Zeta.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Project Beauty.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release + DLCs.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release + Project Beauty.esp

The Mart's Mutant Mod - FWE Master Release.esp replaces the MMM menu & all MMM plugins except the DLC ones (that's noted in the Readme in with the MMM/FWE FOIP plugins).

So you can untick & remove these:

Mart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.esp

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately it did not. I even replaced the MMM textures with the default Rotten Raider Skin and renamed them to match the names on the MMM textures. The textures are correct now!

However, the red ! is still floating on their heads and isn't going away. It's only on the Raiders in the land, nothing else so far. I've enclosed a photo to show you what is happening.

Edit: Never mind, it seems by disabling the Project Beauty mods, I fixed it. Thanks for the help, hopefully this helps others in the future.

The red exclamation usually means there is a missing mesh for a designated item. The object exists but doesn't portray itself because of this. I have had in the past a couple of mods where the quest was impossible to complete because say for example - I had to open a briefcase to examine a letter. The object is there but because the mesh was missing it was rendered impossible to access or continue. Thankfully when the author of the mod was made aware of this it was corrected and I was able to complete and thoroughly enjoyed the mod. I found the object using G.E.C.K but was not able to locate the proper mesh for the object. I am using project beauty and so far it hasn't conflicted with anything that I'm aware of !!!

As I eventually got that problem fixed, I stumbled across another issue: Constant CTD's. I have taken down some of the mods I was using before and I've been slowly filtering them out and I got it down to a select few I want to use, and now after using the merge patch and master updating the files, it still crashes randomly. I'm not sure what is going on.

Also, I have DMC's texture pack, Breeze's, Type 3, clutter texture mods as well as Ambient Wasteland 2.

It will happen randomly when I'm walking around. I'm not sure if it's something loading in the back or if it's an audio, is there a way to see a crash log? Any help would be appreciated, thank you once again.

~ M

EDIT: Not sure if it's of any importance, but I notice the majority of crashes seem to be originating from Springvale School, whenever I get near that area the game crashes. Typically when I try to quicksave, but it will also crash randomly when entering new areas/dungeons.
