Problem with downloading files

Greetings and salutations.

I'm reporting a rather annoying bug which has been present for some time, and I hope I can help clear it up..

The issue is well documented in this thread: This thread here.

Recap: When trying to download mod files, I noticed I was unable to do so while logged in. The mirror popup shows up, and I choose a mirror, then the page loads a blank white screen (in firefox, chrome says the server may be down or some such) and then does nothing. I logged out and was able to download the same file just fine, indicating that it is a problem related to user accounts.

As I mentioned in my post in the above linked thread, I solved the problem (for me) by creating a new account, which I have since been informed (by the nice people in the chat) violates the TOS. I'd like to resume using my original account, but as I am unable to use either the forums or download mods, it is entirely useless to me.

Here is my original profile. The people in the chat noticed that my group on that account seems a little strange... They also mentioned that this

issue may be related to the database migration from TESSOURCE days... which I believe my original account belonged to.

I hope this helps solve the issue. The thread I linked above is quite old and this issue has been around, unsolved, for some time. We must fix this, for science!

Ouch! That was not wise. You may now find both accounts banned, unless you can talk your way out of it with admin. I would *immediately* contact a moderator, and ask for your first account to be closed (banned).
