I could make a working slot machine! We could have a casino. I don't think Vegas has a subway but that could be added (the bombs fall 69 years in the future) Just have some story to explain that it was built in 2015 or something.

If there was an area were there were lots of some really dangerous kind of mutant creatures that couldn't get to the part of building which collapsed onto the other building then it would make sense to have a settlement in that section balanced between the buildings, because it would the only place in the region than was safe.

There could also be another settlement that was spread out over a bunch of rooftops with walkways and bridges and connecting them.

The top half of the statue of liberty could have fallen in the water and become some special groups base, half underwater.

Isn't Alcatraz (the prison island) in New York. That has potential.

Some areas along waterfronts could have collapsed into the water so large sections of buildings and rubble are all flooded and half underwater. A scavenger group could live among the little islands created by this, specially mutated from diving in the irradiated water for all the stuff that no one has already looted because it's under water.

Alcatraz is in San Francisco.

I've modified my story to fit the Vegas line and include feral ghoul infestation from the original concept (if Kaiser's ok with that).

Fallout 3: High Rollin' in Sin City

Synopsis: The DC Brotherhood of Steel receives a cryptic, emergency transmission from their Las Vegas detachment requesting immediate backup. When the backup arrives, the detachment is no where to be found. Being occupied with the Enclave in DC, the Brotherhood requests your assistance in finding out what happened to the detachment. Your character learns that, not only is the local feral ghoul population out of control, but the Brotherhood appears to be in a standoff against the local mafia, vying for dominance over the area. While the BoS have no love of strangers, neither does the mob. Who can be trusted in the city of sin?

Hey there. Been away for a bit. Sounds like TC was more of an "idea" guy. Hey, here's a basic idea, now someone run out and make it for me.

Anyway, settle on something, I nominate SpeedyB64 to head the project once we get settled on location and details.

I guess we will do Vegas. It will be hard work because of all the unique buildings but it is a unique place to use in Fallout. I think the city should be a little different than it is now though. Since it has had 69 more years of development it should be a little bit more built up. There will of course be the strip but around it there will be a lot more high-rise buildings and there should be a subway system. 70 years ago Vegas was very small and simple looking so in another 70 years it will be much more populated and much more dense. This way we can have the big city tall building atmosphere and the flashy showyness of Vegas.

Vegas is also great because of all the landmarks and the fact that there are tons of pictures. (Google maps gets VERY detailed there)

i just noticed a prollem with the vegas thing: the vegas we know now would not exist in the fallout universe. . .it didnt start lookin like vegas till about the early sixties if im not mistaken. . .wouldnt it seem to suggest that if the alternate reality kept to the fiftis style mom-and-pop-make-me-sick-leave-it-to-beaver-bullshit thata place like sin citie would not get as popular as it did in our own time frame? . . .maybe it would be a mid-sized city with a few casinos but it would also be a den of scum and not the popular tourist destination you guys are invisioning :( :wallbash: :geek:
