smc4242
Hello, I'm new to Skyrim Nexus modding, and I've noticed that many mods require you to manually install them, instead of using NMM. Exactly how do I do that? Can someone point me in the right direction to an article or youtube video about that? Thanks.
jack013
usual you just open the file and move the contents into your skyrim>data folder.

Jeir
1. Download file.2. Open file. Best to use 7zip for everything (.7z, .zip, .rar) as it makes things easier.3. Look at file structure. Sometimes the first folder you find inside will be 'data', sometimes it'll be the name of the mod. Double click on it if so until you find an .esp/.esm/bsa and/or meshes/textures/etc. folders.4. Select all the files you want to install.5. Click Extract, and type in/find the location of your Skyrim/Data folder in the window that pops up.6. Click 'ok', and allow for any overwrites.
