HunterHellish
Skyrim keeps CTD the past 4 or so times I've tried to play. Every time the loading screen finishes and the game starts it'll instantly crash to my desktop without any error. I have a feeling it has something to do with the Candlelight spell, whether it's increasing the crashes or triggering them faster, since I saved one game with Candlelight sheathed and another with it in action and the one in action crashes instantly upon loading completion. I've tried uninstalling numerous mods, verifying game cache, and all the usual but nothing seems to work. I also updated SKSE today and my game was working fine prior to updating it, now it seems that it, and the Candlelight spell, is triggering instant CTD's. Any ideas what's wrong? Jodi79
maybe an uncorrect installation of SKSE.. have the latest skyrim update too?
HunterHellish
maybe an uncorrect installation of SKSE.. have the latest skyrim update too? Possibly, and yes I have the latest version of Skyrim. I also think the Candlelight spell may have been increasing the crashes but not the main cause. It has to be something with SKSE. HunterHellish
I just re-installed SKSE, fiddled around with recently installed mods, nothing. It still crashes instantly or within a few seconds after loading. I'm pretty much out of ideas.
HeyYou
Start disabling mods..... see if you can figger out which one is killing your game.
Jodi79
sometimes a save game can be corrupted. (quick save particularly, because often overwrite: sometimes take a fresh save, be sure that it's functionally, and delete from the save folder quicksave and autosave..) another problem could be, if you have a bashed patch: you have to rebuild it every time you uninstall a mod, or CTD happen (but normally it happen immediately, not just on loading save....)
