GU1LD3NST3RN
Hey all, new to the forums and as is usually the case, it's because I need a hand. After taking a break for a bit I decided I wanted to re-visit Skyrim again and right off the bat I'm having a few weird issues. Namely, a number of trees in my game look like this: http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l537/GU1LD3NST3RN/2013-01-06_00002_zps2cebe023.jpg http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l537/GU1LD3NST3RN/2013-01-06_00001_zpsfbf849c2.jpg I've searched around a bit and the one or two folks I've found that had this issues seem to claim that a simple restart/reload fixes the problem. Well, no dice for me as they're still making me feel like I'm in the candy cane forest after reloading about 4 times for good measure. So I'm a bit stuck. For reference, I have modded the game a bit, including using the Skyrim Flora Overhaul, the Lush Trees mod, and the patch to make the latter coincide with the former. I'm also running the HD 2k textures mod but beyond that I don't think anything should be messing with the game files pertaining to trees. System specs are as follows: AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE (3.2 GHz) Radeon HD 6850 1GB8 GB RAM Any tips would be appreciated.
HeyYou
Walk up to one of the trees, open the console, click on the tree.... the first two characters of the ID (that will show up) will indicate which mod the trees are from......
GU1LD3NST3RN
Don't suppose there's some kind of mod ID encyclopedia or something, is there? When I do as you suggested the tree trunk comes up with an object ID of " (000e7bd5) and the branches (the part that actually seem to be causing a problem) read as " (000e7c93) Forgive my ignorance but I really don't have the slightest clue what denotes what here. Jodi79
it happened to me too with oblivion.. you have installed too many hd texture or too many lod and your system can't handle them all. Edited January 7, 2013 by Jodi79
GU1LD3NST3RN
Actually, I seem to have solved it. Apparently the Flora Overhaul updated and uses all default meshes and I guess that means it no longer needs the Lush Trees patch to make the two mods compatible. Remove the patch and everything's shiny. Thanks for the help, though, guys.
