pickyourpoison
As the title of the topic suggests, after editing my SkyrimPrefs.ini for Skyboost, being stupidly unaware that everyone was waiting for an update (At least, I think it was Skyboost that needed this edit..It very possibly could have been HiAlgo), my mouse became unresponsive in menus. The edit I made was bMouseAcceleration=0 under Controls, whereas before, there wasn't a listing for bMouseAcceleration at all. I've changed it to 1, deleted the listing, removed the ini's, restored the ini's, searched the internet for hours, installed a fix that doesn't work for me, and still, I cannot seem to right the issue. Also, I have, of course, removed both Skyboost and HiAlgo, and no, I was not using them both at the same time. I am now using TESVal.dll to increase fps. Someone, please help me. I've been struggling with things all day, and all I want is to relax and play Skyrim for a while. Thank you for your time and patience.
stars2heaven
Have you also made changes to your graphics card settings? Some setting for Nvidia cards can cause unresponsive mouse issues in menus. I don't know if ATI cards have any similar issues.
pickyourpoison
I updated the drivers when another program required it, but the problem occurred after this. At least, I am fairly certain it did. I wish I knew what to do about it. I am also now experiencing an ungodly combat lag. I disabled any of the mods I recently installed, and it appears that one of them was contributing to the lag, but it hasn't been completely fixed. Whatever I did, I dearly wish I could undo it.
