Stealthie
Started getting a "save-game corrupt" error message when I choose "continue" after first launching Skyrim SE. I tried working back through my list of save-games (thus negating about 10 hours of play) until I found one that wasn't corrupt but then, as soon as I save the game again, the new save is apparently corrupt.I've tried going back even further and then doing different things but the result is always a corrupt save-game. Odd thing is, I tried loading a "corrupt" save-game a second time and it loaded perfectly. That's just become standard procedure over the last couple of days.I launch the game, click "continue", get the "corrupt save-game" error, return to the main menu, click "continue" again and the game loads without problems. After the game's started, I can save the game and re-load it no problem. The only time I get the "corrupt save-game" error is immediately after launching the game. My gut-feeling is that the problem is related to a mod'.My guess is that a mod' isn't initialising until after I first load the saved game, at which point the game thinks it's "corrupt" because there's data in the save-fle it can't process. The mod' then initialises, I try to load the save-game again and this time the mod' IS working, so it can process the data in the save-file correctly. I haven't installed any new mod's over the last few days but my game is already massively modded - and a lot of the mod's are game-breaking if I disable them to try and diagnose the problem - so it's going to be almost impossible to figure out which mod' (if any) is responsible easily. Also, I should say that all my mod's appear to be functioning correctly and the game, once I've loaded it, is stable. So, anybody know if there's a way that I might be able to figure out what's causing the "corrupt save-game" error?Does Skyrim SE produce any kind of log-file that might tell me what went wrong? I don't really mind having to make two attempts to load the save-game (like I said, it only happens immediately after I launch the game) but I'm a bit concerned that something in the background might be broken and it'll continue to get more and more broken as I play, until the save-game won't actually load at all. xrayy
first thing i would do is to make a backup of all my saves to be on the save side and before changing or overwriting them again.second thing is to check any changes made since the the first corrupt saves occured (and maybe to revert them).check your setup for any conflicts and the latest added mods or any removed mods.
