But Tenpenny Radio has only 2 songs empty. I have 8 songs to add there's not enough space to add them as the filename will conflict. And there is a mod already that does it by adding 30+ music by DarkanX. (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/7236) How can i do this myself?

wow the forums are bugged today. first it tells me im not logged in then it tell me I cannot add pictures, then it tells me the post is too quick and cannot be added then it clones my post. :huh:

That there are only two songs in the game. If I extract those two i can rename mine to those two to fool the game. Were am I gonna add the other 6 (I have 8 to add) There are no other ones to extract to rename those 6 left

I downloaded and opened that thing you pointed out ,you asked how to do that? well on initial inspection it's clear to me what the author has done. though not using game tools I can clearly see two sets of instructions pointing to the items being called up in game.

Oh sorry to occupy you. I should rename those music with mine? I'll have to make changes as I have 8 not as much as he put in. Thank you. I planned to do that but I wanted to be independent. Meaning I also wanted to add a new station away from rebuilding Tenpenny's So i want to be able to do it myself. While he said due to problems he no longer can mod and that his assets be used freely, I need to be able to do it like he did for when I add my own station(s). Also if I plan to in the end offer my mod for download I cannot be using everyone else's mods inside my mod. Again he said his mod is freely public to use modify etc. But what if I need something else that the geck does not let me do for a reason and someone else did and I get their mod to be able to do it or have it but they forbid distribution, one can ask but there are moders who simply make their mod and will not share it or have it be redistributable for x or y reason. If I depend on other's mods eventually I cannot release my mod for anyone else to enjoy because it has assets that are forbidden to redistribute. :pinch: I'm being very difficult to work with right? :laugh: Just want to be cautious and safeguard that opportunity of in the future when I finish the mod perhaps offer it for others to enjoy. Who knows if I come out as a mod maker for the community :cool: I should be able to do things on my own. Again using help but not using others works unless they allow so but we all know not everyone does so no matter what. I'm stubborn aren't I? :sweat:

no hun. You use the authors Idea's, and method, "Not his assets" you follow his path as an example.

 

You pattern your assemblies after theirs. you don't copy them / their assets. just the patterns.

what I can tell you is, don't mess with others assets in production of patches, but per personal use I do.

 

There's a big difference. Modding is not theirs. it's Idea's. IT's methods.

 

you use others Idea's as road maps so you can grasp how successful mods work and learn what to do and what NOT to do.

I can relate t how confusing things here are setup.

 

I am not the only person here who knows this stuff. I'm just 1 of very many. Willing to test the tides. Ruffle the waters.

I'll try. Tho I would like to finish mine. as i'm just so close to doing it. Been an entire day designing that just to be halted by the stupid geck's bugs. Yes That's why I want to use mine not hims.

 

I think I might have made some progress on myself I willt est and tell you.
