Swedz
Hey So, I just finished downloading some Deagle mod for Fallout New Vegas which I did through the Nexus Mod Manager. When it was finished I activated it and installed it (Did at the same time, It seems). When I started up the game I saw no Deagle in my inventory. I also got the Niner mod but neither him could I see in the game. What the hell did I do wrong? I mean, I used the manager for crying out loud. When I then tried to uninstall the Deagle mod using the manager, It kinda wouldn't let me. The files were still there and It's too complicated for me to uninstall themmanually. Please help

bben46
There is nothing magic about the NMM. It cannot fix anything wrong with a mod. It cannot set proper load order. You have to do that. Not every mod is going to be compatible with every other mod. NMM cannot tell you that. You might check the readme on your mods to see if the item is supposed to magically appear in your inventory, or if you have to find it somewhere in the game. If this is just a retexture of an existing gun, then it is likely you will have to discover it somewhere before you can use it. If uninstalling a mod by finding each and every piece that the mod installed - and removing it - is too complicated then you may need to find another hobby. That was exactly what we had to do before the NMM made things simpler. FONV was out long before the mod manager was released, and many mods were never designed with the NMM in mind - they may work with it, they may not. Here is some more help - but not much specific to FONV here yet. The generic stuff may help you some. Here is a link to my troubleshooting blog. http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4751769/1/#newThis is updated from time to time so come back later for more. If you use any of this and have some success - or even if nothing works - please post back here what you did that worked or didn't work. That kind of information can be invaluable to other members having the same or similar problems - And to me in fixing any problems in the blog.
