Syntax1985
ok so last night i successfully made the vault 74 from the wiki tutorial, great. so her i am trying to make a new "interior" for a personal project, and bam, i cant move objects. im pretty sure, u select the object, left click and move, but nothing is happening. i re-looked through the GECK, to find nothing about how to move objects, so have i forgot some special toggle button or a certain key or something? Syntax1985
Turns out im just stupid, that grid button next to the Snap in place button was pressed, seems to only allow rotation with that on.

Werewolf334
For moving objects in GECK select the object (easiest way is by highlighting it in editor ID) and you should then see the object highlighted in the render window. After that simply left click and hold down inside of the highlighted item and you should get the moving cursor for you mouse. If this doesn't work for you, I don't what else to tell you than to place it using co-ordinates, which is much more difficult. Im sure. FYI I did a big NO-NO when testing this out for you; I had fallout 3 open (yes the main game minimized) then opened GECK and loaded Fallout 3.esm and then loaded Vault101 cell :D lol ... I was wondering why GECK was loading so slow.
DDigit
Well I figure you've tried these: Reload the cell from the cell window.Make sure you've turned navmesh view and such off.Look at the stuff toggled on/off in the tutorial and compare.Try turning lights on/off (solves some weird bugs for me, doubt it will solve this one tho).Make sure none of your keyboard buttons are stuck in the down position heheRestart the GeckReboot your pcReinstall the Geck I'm only now finishing working on vault74 thanks to the frequent crashes. Also i had a bug/glitch that "misplaced" some of my assets, not nice..... Oh and I lost a wrench.......
Syntax1985
Thats for the replies! , i found out what it was... i had my mouse setting ( i didn't even change, F-knows how this happened ) so that i had to move my cursors miles away from the object before it would actually move o.0 no ive had a couple of problems with certain "tiles" disappearing on me, forcing me to restart. God i hope they fix this G.E.C.K and dont just leave it as they did with the oblivion TK lol.
