Uploading From Creation Kit to Nexus

Recommended Posts

Create a new empty directory outside of the game. For example: C:\MyMods

Then create another new empty directory inside of that. For example: C:\MyMods\Coin Minting

Then create yet another new empty directory inside of that and call it Data. For example: C:\MyMods\Coin Minting\Data

Now copy all your files needed for that mod to properly function inside the Data directory.

After that, use 7zip (its free) to create a 7z file out of all the contents in this external Data folder.

Remove your mod files from the game.

Import your new 7z file into your mod manager and install it.

Test out your mod in-game. This is to make sure that your archive contains everything needed and gets properly extracted by the mod manager.

When everything is good, upload the 7z file to the Nexus.

Benefit of this method is that you will always have a 'backup copy' locally should the one in your game get screwed up somehow.

Unless you are wanting instructions on going through the website pages to get your file exposed to the general public. In that case, while not specifically about uploading a mod, it does provide some useful information that may be needed in the process: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/How_to_Manage_Mod_Permissions,_Credits,_and_Files_on_NexusMods
