Morrobliv7
Hello I'm trying to create my first mod but I have a problem when it comes to saving from time to time. Let's say that I create a mod called X then I want to continue on it and load Skyrim.esm, Update.esm and X, I then do some work on it and want to save it but I can't save it as X because that file is in use. So my question is: do I need to create a new file each time i quit the CK? Edited January 10, 2013 by Morrobliv7
ghosu
First time you load Skyrim,Update,DG,HF whatever. Create/edit your mod, afterwards save your mod.esp.When you load the mod you check all files you used, click your mod and press the button to set is to active, then OK.Edit your mod and save, you can't save when the game is running in window/background. tyrannynexus
Make sure you ser your file as the active file by double clicking or right clicking it on load.
Morrobliv7
Thank you for the help apparently it makes a difference between "set file as active" and double clicking it (which I had done).
