Why does no one import companions from other games?

Many, many popular games have had their character models ripped directly from their games, yet almost no one actually makes these ripped models into companions.

I know it's possible, because I've seen it done ONCE before.

Plus, it's possible to import gun models and random other objects.

I was just wondering, why does no one do this?

 

By the way, I know almost nothing about the GECK, so excuse me if it's a dumb question.

Its not legal, so you will none of the mods that "imports/rips" items or companions from any games (unless you got permission from the makers) on nexus.

 

That and is just hard to make a companion, you can not rip the written dialog/scripts/items/triggers from a different game into FNV you would have to make them all by hand. Only thing you can rip of a companion is their clothing/skin/voices.

Oh god, you're not wrong. Even a really dumb companion is a disgusting amount of effort. I never thought I'd miss the NWN conversation editor.

Hmm, I didn't realize that was illegal.

I've seen other games that have tons and tons of mods that imported other characters.
