Pyroblasta
This is the best tutorials I can think about and even that doesn't cover how to use TWF in a OP mannerhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssJSMb675t4 It has been many years since I last touched something like that if memory recalls it is not designed to be ridiculously OP according to the mod author Here is what TWF doesn't doYou want a Family Sword to be 1 hit or 1 kill, the damage bonus on your Family Sword is capped at +20 enchant any bonuses to your Family Sword is capped at +20 Even with the "Override Cheat" you can craft any weapons at max power but you cannot go chopping down everything that stands in your way Even with "Override Cheat" crafting multiple OP weapons and armor to be a quick process... Lets say you want just a +20 damage bonus added and nothing else then yes it's quickLet's say you to be armed to the teeth with full set armor including weapons and accessories, then scrolling TWF menu options still consumes hours to craft 5 enchantment bonus status of a full set to ONE characterThat is still assuming you don't crash and DA Origins does crash pretty often so save multiple times (after 1.02 update) Here what TWF doesEnchant any bonuses to your Family Sword is capped at +20. Which is pretty powerful in both Origins and Awakening standards since many weapons are measly +1, +2, +3s and anything over +5 is rare, not counting those 2 or 3 per power.Mainly this is for fair play and if you find vanilla nightmare difficulty overwhelming cause you choose to play with without status/equipment mods or gameplay balancing mods or DLCs then TWF is your supplementary addon The above Youtube video shows you are meant to use the mod by crafting at a cost with essences and mats assuming you're not using any "Override Cheats" and acquiring many high status bonuses in one equipment is meant to be a time consuming effort for a legit balanced gameplay EditYou can use TWF to transfer the OP status from the mods here https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/categories/7/ on to your Family Sword Edited June 18, 2020 by Pyroblasta

olnorton
You could just use the winter forge mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/122/While it might be a little confusing to use at first, once you get the hang of it, you can change the specs of any weapon or armor to godlike status.Well i downloaded and tried it, but i can't find how to modify the family weapon specs, all i can do is craft a new sword, i serached for tutorials about modify the existing weapon damage, but they are mostly focused on enchanting, if you know tutorials that can help me could you please link them here? Thanks for the help... You can just disable all the enchanting stuff and use the override "cheat" mode.Drag the little toolkit onto your hotbar and click on it to get toolbar below and click on the padlock to enable override mode.https://i.imgur.com/rIJr2rX.jpgDrop your Cousland Family Sword in.https://i.imgur.com/r8Ac90u.jpgUse the first two on the left to scroll through the bonuses to the damage section. Use the next two to scroll through the type of damage you want to add, and the the fifth one to add it.Then go along to the plus sign to increase the amount. Here you can see I've added 9 bonuses to Ciri's sword.https://i.imgur.com/ZNW4hd9.jpgBy default it will only allow you to add 5, but if you feel you need more, you can go to the modders website http://dragonage.phaenan.net/configuration-ini.html This handy tool will let you edit the default settings and add a new section to your Dragonage.ini file. As I said, it takes a bit to learn it, and get it setup how you want it, but as you can see, you can make any sword into a very powerful weapon. Howitzur303
Hi everybody, I'm writing here to make a little request about modifying the base damage of the Cousland Family Sword in Dragon Age: Origins. I would like to do this by myself, instead of bother asking here but unfortunately i can't install the Toolkit no matter what i do or which tutorial i follow to install it (i bought Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition on GOG)... I like the idea to use the family Sword for all the game lenght and also in Awakening if possible, but it isn't much powerful, and i would like it to be a weapon like 1 hit, 1 kill... So i'm asking here if someone could be so kind to make a dazip (or how is called the equivalent of Skyrim esp file fro Dragon Age Origins) for me with the Cousland Family Sword base damage modified to be deadly, having 100, or 500, or 1000 instead of its 7 almost 8 game damage.... Thanks in advance for reading. Regards,Alduin78Im a bit late here but did you end up getting toolset to work? If not, I could probably do this for you. Ive just started heavily modding my own game to playthrough again and what youre asking doesnt seem to hard to do. Let me know.

jhosephdelima
I'd love if someone fullfil this request. When they talked about the Cousland sword I thought it was a special item, but no, it's actually pretty weak
