leotheEliteMajor117
When I go to some locations in FNV, e.g Primm, I see some stuff get loaded like rocks, plants, and some other objects related to terrain when I go closer to it. It lags my game a lot during the loading process since I'm broke and cant afford a good pc here because my nation's currency is weaker than usd or euros, but my pc still can run FNV good...with mods. Back to topic, is there anyway to make every locations in FNV to fully load once I load my save? I hate that approaching them has my game to lag. M48A5
That would make the game unplayable. The reason the areas are divided is so that the common man will have a machine that can run the game.
dubiousintent
Agreed. Technically you could increase the "uGridsToLoad=5" (in FalloutPrefs.ini) by increments of 2 so it would load more adjacent cells in the background, but that requires more video memory and given what you report, is more likely to cause additional lag and stutter. Changing this setting has mixed reviews. The game would be guessing you are going to continue moving in a given direction, and if you change directions, it has to dump and load even more cells than normal. A marginal PC is not going to be improved by increasing the demands upon it. If you add (or remove) any VWD/LOD textures (such as NMC, Vurt's WFO, or Ojo Bueno), please see the 'Checklist Item #15 & 16' entries in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide regarding the need to run both TES4LL and FNVLODGen; or xLODGen - Terrain LOD beta for FNV, FO3, FO4, FO4VR, TES5, SSE, TES5VR, ENDERAL. Also recommend you read the 'LOD/VWD Texture Packs' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article first. Failing to do so could result in that "popping into view" effect you mention. I consider that the more likely cause. -Dubious-
lStewieAl
Decompressing the gameâs BSAs should help, provided you have enough storage. https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/65854
