Headless Horseman

HOW is the Headless Horseman implemented into the game? he has random spawn points between 10pm - 4am but i cannot player.moveto his RefId any times.

trying to look through his Quest WeRoad12 but none is making sense as to how he gets into the game.

 

am hoping that someone has done some edits on him and knows a few things.

I've never done anything with him but looking at that it's all handled via scripts on that quest and the WEparent quest.

 

This could explain why you can't move the player to him. He will only spawn at intervals. He gallops from the spawn point to another marker and is then deleted when he gets there. Also, both him and his horse have 'BlockInteraction' put on them when they spawn. I'm not sure if this will prevent you moving the player to him or not ( that's if he's even in-game at the time).

thats what i fingured when i was looking over it. im trying to copy his scripting for a mod im working on but gawd damn theres alot going on there that im not totally understanding lol. but i think ive abandon his and just going to do something simpler for my mod. :(

When I looked at it my brain exploded! (I'm rubbish with papyrus)

 

I'm A simple sort, though and I also thought... 'Hell, if I wanted a headless horseman in my mod, I'd cut out the WEroad12 bull***' and simply dupilcate and edit both him and his horse. that way I don't interfere with the vanilla quest. Better still, I'd make a new horseman and horse and simply use all of their values. This way I can't possibly interfere with the vanilla ones. Then I'd add all the stuff I wanted. Now I have a headless horseman that is unique to my mod, so can't be altered by any other mod. I'll also have one that does what I want!

 

If I want him to appear in a scene, I use my horseman. etc.

 

I like NPCs that do what I want!

Replied to your PM. It looks great and is a really nice idea.

 

I've added a suggestion or 2 about spawning the different variations that you want. My idea is simple (like me) if it works. Use a levelled actor and levelled characters and spawn the levelled actor. That way you can fine tune how often she turns up in your lootable gear. You'd need 3 NPCs to do it this way but it shouldn't be too bad setting them up the same? You don't need to worry about the face, anyway!
