Stealthie
Anybody know if there's a console command to change the speed the game runs at? To be clear, I'm NOT talking about using the "set timescale to" command to adjust the speed time passes. My problem is that all the in-game actions - by the player-character, NPCs and environmental effects - seem to be roughly 20% faster than they should be. For example, when I'm mining, instead of hearing "clonk.... clonk.... clonk.... clonk.... clonk...." I get "clonk.clonk.clonk.clonk.clonk.clonk." At first it wasn't a huge problem but as I play I'm finding more and more irritating things - picking difficult locks is harder when the lock turns faster, sneaking effectively is harder, combat is harder etc.Worst thing, though (and also the thing that "proves" there's a genuine problem) is that spoken dialogue drifts out of snyc'.A character will start talking, say their first line of dialogue and then start saying another line of dialogue before the first line is complete. I did try googling but everything I've found relates to using "set timescale" which, as I said, is NOT what I'm trying to do here. Dunno whether it's related but I was in the middle of a playthrough using the "Legacy of the Dragonborn" mod (excellent mod BTW) when I realised that I was just never going to get anywhere near completing it so I removed it from my mod' list, deleted all my savegames and started again. Is it possible that LotD might've adjusted something and it's remained changed even though I started a new game? +EDIT+ Also, I'm aware of the "speedmult" command but I've only ever seen that used to adjust the speed the player moves.I need to slow down EVERYTHING, from the speed I move and the speed NPCs move to the speed the trees sway in the wind and the water ripples.I dunno if the "speedmult" comand can be used to change the speed of all that stuff. IsharaMeradin
LotD should not have caused such an issue. Especially if you've started a brand new game after having removed it and any mods that relied on it. SpeedMult is for the movement of actors. It won't help your situation. If you are using a mod manager with a profile system, I would suggest trying an unmodded profile to see if the issue persists. If it does not, slowly move your mods over as you test. Perhaps you'll run across a mod that does speed everything up for some reason. If the problem persists in an unmodded state, no clue.
