I'm very excited about this game even though I never played the original pen&paper game.

But I made some research and I came up with info I don't see anyone posted on this forum yet.

Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be an open-world,free roaming,non-linear RPG based on the pen&paper RPG of the same name "Cyberpunk".

In year 2077 tech implants are mainstream and most rich people are cyborgs, and there is a new kind of entertainment that is trending, which lets you re-live experiences of other people. This entertainment comes in some form of drugs, and by using it you can feel everything someone else felt. You will see what he saw, hear what he heard, feel the sentimental feelings he felt, feel how he felt on his body..

The drugs are branded legally by some mega-corporation. People tend to use these drugs to experience how it feels to be someone else who done other things. For example you might drug yourself to feel how a serial killer felt when he first killed, without ever killing yourself,or feel how a rockstar feels when he performs with thousands of people listening to him. But it turns up that as with any other drugs, there are withdrawal, overdose, and addiction symptoms. So every now and then someone goes on a psychotic rampage confusing reality with the entertainment, and with the help of the mainstream implants he has, he wreaks havok and murder dozens of people on the streets.

The entire lower half of her face.

It's missing.

That alone got me hooked on playing the female protag they showed in the demo. The RPG immersion of experiencing complete Star Trek Borg Queen disembodiment.

hopefully they'll provide a backstory. Like how she ended up like that.

With the entire lower half of her face. Which is completely missing.......

The male companion apparently has a varying degree of that too come to think of it.

This just in guys:

since I'm on vacation, I finally have some time to play games (and mod the cr*p out of them). I was just checking out some mods for "Fallout: NV", when they started to talk about "Cyberpunk 2077" on our polish TV, "Polsat Nowy Dzien" (that's: "Polsat New Day" in english). I didn't catch the whole story, but they were presenting an article from one of polish newspapers and saying, that polish market analytics and investors firmly believe in game's success, which promises lots of future funds and support for CDProjekt. They've also said, that more information about game will be revealed on sunday (09.06.), though the game release date should be around May 2020.

I don't really follow news on the internet, so I don't know, whether this is "old news", I just heard it like 10 minutes ago.

I'm hoping we'll see some more footage and get some more info at E3!

Yeah, the guy commenting newspaper articles on TV mentioned E3, so I'm guessing CDPR prepared some new info for us. The last article about the game on polish internet I've read was dated 29.05. and it was saying that "Cyberpunk 2077", much like "The Witcher 3" won't support modding, at least initially, because right now they want to focus on polishing the final product.

I don't have any knowledge of the game, but the trailer looks nice. I dunno, I'll probably see the reviews and if they're favourable I'll get it.

A reveal teaser was put up a couple days back, which seems to show a bit of what the game's atmosphere will include.
