Create Archive - Creating two .BSA Files Instead of one?

Recommended Posts

When my mod Is complete. I press "Create Archive" to generate the .BSA files . But It actually create two different files. a "Main Archive" and "Texture Archive".

If I name my texture archive as the same the as the mod, the textures are ok and everyone will be able to see the textures of my mod. BUT, wont be able to get the music and some other things.

If I name my main archive as the same as the mod, the textures are missing but the player will get the music and some other things.

Should It not generate a single .BSA file?

I am confused. Can't find anything while googling about It.

Possibly. You need to move all the assets required by your mod out of the data folder and test the BSA files yourself. It is possible that some files were not included when the BSA was created. This is highly possible when using the CK's built-in archive tool.

Best way to create the BSA files would be to create a workspace folder for your mod with a sub-folder called Data where you would place every required file with its required folder structure for the game. Then use the external BSA tool that came with the Creation Kit, Archive.exe. Information here: https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Archive.exe

First, thank you for being kind to help me out. I tried Archive.exe and while manually selecting the files needed for my mod to work, the BSA created Is 4x heavier than the one "Create - Archive" from Creation Kit generated!

I am pretty sure now my friend wont get purple items (missing textures). I will get back here with a feedback once I get a reply.
