Sexchange applied to everyone

What I think would be better and more feasible , would be to have a weapon the player could deploy at their discretion to change npc sexes . Something that could do it for all npc's loaded ( ergo UgridsToLoad )

And something used as a specific target or area of effect like an explosion.

 

Because if the mod is just meant to switch all genders in game period. What is the point of that ?

Make gender switching something fun and re-usable at least .

There are two mods that do this for Fallout 3:

Transformation Ray https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/15765

 

Gender-Bender Ray https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/10392

 

So, presumably, porting them to NV would be possible. Even more fun would be isolating the effect and applying to a variety of weapons. Sniper shots? Gender Grenades? (I have no idea how it works.)

Seems like it would need something more ... like homophobic reactions to realizing they changed sexes.

Or they were placated with growing boobs ?

 

It works by applying a script when said subject is affected. "Effect Script"

Ramdomly distributed (though faction-influenced) attribute that applies a reaction such as "confused", "horrified", "pleased" in some way.

 

Ya there is umpteen ways to make your vision of what the player should experience , , , happen ...

A random number generator setting a variable to then execute AI commands to NPC 's ... is an overview plan of how then to make the nitty gritty of it happen.

And I would suggest ... learn the scripting , but don't lean on it to heavy. Realize and utilize the other tools.

Round about ways of getting things done by letting the engine do it's ticking along.

 

Example: Quest script delay ... running at three times per minute to pull off a heal overtime from an effect script that starts and stops this quest. Which runs from an object when equipped.

Using NVSE it could be possible to do it with a single event handler but It would come at the cost of the game stuttering when loading. All you need to do is for the handler to check if it's loading an NPC if so you apply sexchange and give it a token (an unplayable piece of armor that can't be equipped) so you know for further iterations that you don't need to sexchange that NPC

Ya that with an on/off feature so it's not constantly checking and swapping the gender on Load. Plus then you could click it on and watch all the npc's swap gender in front of you.

But like I said ... multi tools to do that would be good for making the mod more interesting towards reusability .
