Long loading time, then CTD

Hi all,

 

After installed some texture mods i cannot play anymore my latest save (neither the others), i can only start a new save.. i have SKSE 1.6, Skyrim 1.8 and i used boss for reordering..

 

At the TOP there are:

Skyrim.esm

Update.esm

Dawnguard.esm

I think you should use BOSS, it might tell you everything you need to know. You also need to add both of the highretexturepacks' bsas to your Skyrim.ini, in your user documents, games, skyrim (normally C drive) load procedure under archive, after textures and them uncheck them in the NMM so that added textures can override the DLC. Also i found something strange.. When i use a old save i can play. But when i try to play the new save i've made while playing with the old one i get stuck in loading screen..

Thank you for your support.. How much time i will spend cleaning all the mods?.. i will make a new save if it will take too long instead.. can i export face sliders, quests done and things like this from my old save to my new one?

 

Another strange thing:

I have this old save.. I can play with it. If i walks somewhere for a bit and then make a new save i can play it normally..

If i play with the old save and after ~10 min i make a new save and quit i cannot play that one.. BUT, when i play the oldest i can, while playing, load the new save i made before and play.. that's is so sad... everything seems to be messed up...

 

EDIT: It seems i cannot even make a new save.. When i am on the carriage to helgen, when Ralof says "We are all brothers in binds" the game CTD :(

After adding them to the archive load order, you should delete the esp files in your skyrim data folder as the bsas are now loaded automatically. Loose files are load before your mod load order.

 

TES5EDIT really does not take that long to learn for cleaning since you only use a few functions -

is a guide from Gopher, it's the same for mods. Wrye Bash may also help you, and here is a guide on how to use it to create a bashed patch.

 

I suggest also updating your mods to the latest versions if you have not done so already.

 

As far as I know, you cannot import things from previous saves into new ones, sorry. :(

 

Other than that, just remove whatever you installed and try loading again, but it's not often that a texture/environmental mod will cause a CTD.

EDIT1: deleting the texture hd packs esps let me enter helgen but a few seconds after... ctd..

 

EDIT2: Checked, every mod is updated..

Perhaps try starting a new game with all mods unchecked so you know if the game is stable. If not then you should verify the game cache via Steam, but make sure to backup your live Skyrim and SkyrimPrefs inis (the ones in your users documents, under games, or my games) before doing so.
