Personal ESP won't load

Hello,

 

Recently I've had an issue with my personal mod not working. I can't enter the game with it active and I'm not able to edit it in the Creation Kit, I made a lot of progress on it and I don't want to loose it. How exactly can I fix it? This happened to me before, but I forgot how I resolved it.

 

Need more information on the mod(?)

- Master files; LevelersTower, Dawnguard, Update, and AsharaMerchantNPC

- The crashing began to happen after the adding of AsaharaMerchantNPC.esm (which was on mistake) I'm not sure if my mod is conflicting with his/hers? But I wouldn't know why.

- I added quite a few other items from various other mods, but had no issues.

 

This was not going to be a public mod, just one of my own, I enjoy modding.

The Creation Kit loads the mods in install order rather than in actual load order for the game. It could be possible that the parents of your plugin are in a different order than what the Creation Kit put them in. Therefore the game is most likely refusing to work because the plugins are not in the right order (or you've removed one). The CK is probably refusing to edit it as the plugins may no longer be in the same order in which they were in when you created the plugin.

 

Easiest solution might be to use TES5Edit and compare your plugin to the Ashara mod you no longer want as a parent. Then remove any of the stuff that you added changed that is related to the Ashara mod from your plugin. If TES5Edit doesn't allow you to remove that mod as a parent, Wrye Bash should be able to do it. The CK can also do that, tho I'm not sure of the exact process.

 

Other than that, look at the plugin and note the order of the parents and make sure that you order your plugins to match. You should then be able to get into the CK & into the game with it.
