shafalabaz
Again: I do have permission from the original modder. So I was a big fan of theroadstroker's Ezio Armor mod for Oblivion. I got permission from him to port it to Skyrim, but I don't know how to do that. Is there anyone who can?

Is there anyone who can?first off you are in the wrong section. second off since your first thread got closed for this, you are better off PMing a Moderator Directly explaining your position on the subject, rather then just reposting the thread and bypassing the lock. also The Forums have rules about porting. just because you have permission from the Original Mod of that port, doesnt mean He had permission to mod that port in the first place, meaning modding it a second time, would still be agains the rules. Heres the Rules on Porting mods. just trying to help you out bud. if you truly want to see this Port happen (which im not sure it can), your best bet is to not get banned first, and talk to a Mod who can better explain the Rules and whatnot to you, and tell you if what you desire is even possible. Do you know what the right section is?2. Which moderator should I pm? Also I noticed that the moderator who closed my previous thread didn't seem to have any idea what he was talking about. shafalabaz
Ok, so I read some rules on porting and want to close this topic. How do I do that?
Vagrant0
1. I'm sorry. Do you know what the right section is?2. Which moderator should I pm? Also I noticed that the moderator who closed my previous thread didn't seem to have any idea what he was talking about.Hi... That person who "had no idea what he was talking about". Last I checked, assets from Assassins Creed belonged to Ubisoft. It does not matter who pulled them from Ubisoft's game, or what process they used, the base resources still fall under Ubisoft's copyright. Since Ubisoft has pretty much maintained a solid "No" policy towards this sort of thing, the user you mentioned previously did not get permission, and certainly did not get permission to grant rights to those assets to other users. This is why it is an illegal upload, and why it is not allowed on this site. It does not matter what changes they made to the actual model in the process of conversion, the model itself belongs to Ubisoft. Even if it contains only a few elements from the original game, it is still an illegal rip. Even if the textures are made from scratch, it is an illegal rip. And yes, we can tell, and for the sake of keeping this site from legal trouble, we go to ridiculous lengths to check this sort of thing. Converting things for personal use is fine, however asking the process is not since this has routinely led to other users finding that thread, sharing their conversions, and complaining about the ban they receive. As a general rule, explanations of this process are not allowed since there is no way to control who uses them or what intent they have, and it leads to companies who aggressively protect their assets filing frivolous lawsuits. Sorry, but if you ask again, you will be banned.
