Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well!

Before reading on, I have no technical knowledge of this subject, take these questions as me asking to be pointed in the right direction as i havent started to learn yet, and i just want to make sure i dont take the wrong path in tutorials and end up wasting a load of time, so I will tell you the goal i want to achieve.

I have checked tutorials like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDKivlGmia4 which is 8 years old now, and im wondering if there is any point watching such old tutorials and will it help me with modding the latest special edition of skyrim?

I have never modded before, but my goal is to create my own custom armour set, i want to make a "Darknut" armour set from Legends of Zelda twilight princess including the sword and shield, I have looked on youtube for tutorials on how to get started and i understand it will take many months of learning and hard work, however modding is such a vast subject that I am having trouble finding a video to specifically help with the 3D modelling of armour that i can understand as a beginner, and also alot of these videos are outdated, I am using the latest edition of skyrim special edition for PC.

Now i do have some experience with 3D modelling software such as fusion 360 which I use for 3D printing, I have come to find that you can use blender to create 3D models for skyrim and it is free so i would wish to go with blender, but does anybody know a good place for a beginner to start out with up to date tutorials? my only goal is to make a custom armour and sword/shield set, so i just dont want to sift through a bunch of videos relating to other types of mods unless I have to in order to get to where i need to be, lastly I plan on scaling my character up in size to "1.1" because anyone who has seen a darknut will remember that they are very large humaniod characters and i worry will this affect the texture of the armour set once i have imported it into the game?

I apologize if this question doesn't provide enough information, I'm sure it showcases my ignorance of this subject but if anymore information about my specific needs is required I will be happy to provide more info, thank you for your time

Last question: Armor scales in size with the character. A height of 1.1 is not that huge so it should not be an issue. If you were scaling to 10.1 that might be a concern then.

As far as tutorials for 3d modeling and such, I cannot help you there. Sorry.
