phendrena
Greetings all, I'm trying to add a lightweight Woodcutter's Axe.I've duplicated the base game item, lowered its weight, added it as a new form and given it a name. However, in Skyrim when i try to chop wood it says I don't have an axe for chopping. Clearly I am missing something - probably blindingly obvious. Any suggestions. Cheers, Dave
maxarturo
The vanilla "chop wood" furniture/activator will search in the player's inventory for the vanilla "Woodcutter's Axe", and respond/react only to it and none other.
maxarturo
I just remember that the "Wood Chopping Block" is using "FormList" in its script. You need to put your axe to that "FormList". Sorry..., i'm on vacations with no pc...
thumbincubation
The form list Max is referring to is called woodChoppingAxes, and can be found by typing part of that into the search box. In the vanilla game (with Skyrim and Update active) it contains two axes already, dunHaltedStreamPoachersAxe and Axe01, the latter of which is your typical wood axe. Open the list, find your axe in the ck, and drag/drop it in. Note, this does not only take axes. For example, if you created a generic "tool kit," and added it to both this form list and mineOreToolsList, having the tool kit in your possession would cause you to produce an axe at the chopping block and a pickaxe at ore veins. I don't know if your axe looks any different than the normal ones, but you will still produce a standard wood axe unless you also change the one associated with the chopping block. Unfortunately, I do not know how to make it recognize which axe you may be carrying, and I struck out at attempting to figure it out by looking at the ancient nordic pickaxe. phendrena
Thanks for the replies and apologies for the complete lack of replies from myself.I assumed, incorrectly it would appear, that nexus would automatically provide me with reply notifications to my own created topics and it didn't (maybe i've changed a setting!?!? Who knows) I will have another look in the CK and peruse the specific form list and add in my own axe and see if I can get it to cooperate. Thank you both Dave
