JackGoff
So I went with this guys adviceI would imagine that it is beautiful people clashing with another race mod, exact same thing happened to me, removed it and bingo, ok. The googly eyes are caused by the meshes wrongly pointing to the wrong textures. You dont need all those storm and sound esps, only obse version. Also i believe you only need one assasins creed esps, you are doubling up there as well.Good luckAnd deleted my beautiful people omod but there is still some Beautiful people mods there (not active but still there). I think they are the source of oblivion not starting up. They show up in wrye bash and I don't know how to delete them. How do I do that? Is there anything else wrong with my mods that could be causing it? 00 Oblivion.esm01 Cobl Main.esm [Version 1.72]02 Oscuro's_Oblivion_Overhaul.esm [Version 1.35Beta]03 Armamentarium.esm04 Better Cities Resources.esm [Version 5.2.5]05 HorseCombatMaster.esm** Cobl Races TNR.esp [Version 1.53]** Cobl Races TNR SI.esp [Version 1.53]06 Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp [Version 3.4.2]07 UOPS Additional Changes.esp08 Oblivion Citadel Door Fix.esp09 DLCShiveringIsles.esp0A Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch.esp [Version 1.5.0]0B USIPS Additional Changes.esp0C Better Cities .esp [Version 4.7.0]0D Natural_Weather_by_Max_Tael.esp0E Natural_Weather_HDR_by_Max_Tael.esp0F Natural_Habitat_by_Max_Tael.esp10 Natural_Water_by_Max_Tael.esp11 AmbientTownSounds.esp12 WindowLightingSystem.esp13 Book Jackets Oblivion.esp** Book Jackets Oblivion - talveren
oh isn't this fun. :( I hope you had backups. If not, backup now before we mess things up more. You want to backup your program install location Oblivion folder and your my documents\My Games\Oblivion folder. I'm going to concentrate on getting your Oblivion install running again. After that, we can deal with actually removing all the extra crap Beautiful People left behind. From your load order, it looks like what's happened is that your beautiful people .esp files are still in the Oblivion\Data folder. What you should be able to do is to deselect all of them in Wyre Bash. Then you can ghost them, which will change the file extension that Oblivion looks for when it loads. That means it won't try to load them because as far as Oblivion knows, they aren't there. After that, rebuild the bashed patch and try to start Oblivion. My guess is that you need to rebuild the bashed patch. I'm going to assume that you used OBMM to uninstall. It shouldn't matter for this set of troubleshooting, but I want to check. If you look at mine, I'll demonstrate what you need to do in Wrye Bash using a different mod. After you've done these, try and start Oblivion. If it crashes on load, we need to keep looking. If it loads, your save file should say something about missing objects. That's fine. It means it's looking for stuff from the mod you just removed. Hickory
7A Bashed Patch, 0.esp----> MISSING MASTER: x117race.esm----> MISSING MASTER: Beautiful People 2ch-Ed.esm This is simple: in Wrye Bash, right click on Bashed Patch,0.esp and select 'File >> Delete'. Now, do not have any plugin selected, right click in the 'Mods' window and select 'File >> New Bashed Patch...' Re-build your newly created Bashed Patch. This is a known issue where Wrye Bash doesn't handle masters efficiently in a Bashed Patch.

The files were ghosted but it turns out they were being merged into the bashed patch and being activated. I did what you said and deactivated everything. Also whenever I add more mods I always use BOSS and always rebuild my bashed patch. As for back-ups, is this a good idea? I have like 50 mods to add that I've downloaded so before doing that should I create a back-up? Would this be a good idea: Make a back-up then trying to add all the mods at once, and seeing if it works. If it doesn't work I'll go back to my back-up, and then do a few mods at a time and, then seeing if all works. If it works, update the back-up and add more mods, and see if that works & repeat? 7A Bashed Patch, 0.esp----> MISSING MASTER: x117race.esm----> MISSING MASTER: Beautiful People 2ch-Ed.esm This is simple: in Wrye Bash, right click on Bashed Patch,0.esp and select 'File >> Delete'. I did what talveren suggested and I got Oblivion running again, would it make this redundant as when I make a new bashed patch it would take some data from the beautiful people remnants and I'd have to deselect them again? I looked in my data folder and found the beautiful people remnants which are ghosted. Should I just delete them anyways?http://puu.sh/1OEqG

The solution is to de-select 'Auto Ghost' in Wrye Bash. To answer your question: yes, delete them if you have uninstalled the mod. Making a new Bashed Patch will not include uninstalled, or ghosted mods.

If you're looking to save time, then you can try it this way. If I'm troubleshooting, I usually add one mod at a time so If something breaks, I immediately know which one to look at.
