LongRaider
Hello everyone, I was an avid player/modder of Fallout, and now I'm trying to get into Skyrim. Now, since I just got onto the Skyrim modding scene, I just need some help. 1.) Is there a mod like FOMM? Because I really dislike NMM, and just want a simple program like FOMM that can add and enable mods. 2.)Texture packs/ENB's: I want Skyrim to look as pretty/realistic as humanly possible(I5-3570k, 7970 + 3bg ram, 16 gb ram, 250 gb ssd)3.)Anything that makes the game more realistic environmentally. (Snow that piles up, weather, etc.)4.) Flora/Fauna mods that add more animals/plants to the game.I'm trying to RP a ranger/survivalist/hunter gatherer character so if there are any hunting/trapping/fishing mods I would appreciate that5.) Any essential mods you think the game couldn't do without6.)Any good UI mods that y'all like7.)A good housing mod for a hunter: far away from civilization near a river or in a forest. 8.)Weapon mods focusing on Bows/Arrows or Crossbows from Dawnguard.9.)Character Creation: Realistic faces/hair/eyes etc.10.) Anything y'all think I would like11.) Anything like hardcore mode from Fallout:New Vegas Any help would be greatly appreciated

LargeStyle
Have you actually searched Nexus for mods per catergory type - i.e visual mods, housing mods etc? You'll find the most downloaded mods via the search options! Also search this forum too - what you're asking for has already been asked (and answered) many many times before. 1.) Is there a mod like FOMM? Because I really dislike NMM, and just want a simple program like FOMM that can add and enable mods. What's wrong with NMM? All it does is what you've asked for in a mod manager. However if you're adamant that you want to use another manager then there are a few more but as I don't use them I cant make any recommendations here. 2.)Texture packs/ENB's: I want Skyrim to look as pretty/realistic as humanly possibleDo you want "pretty" or "realistic" - ENBs are setup to make Skyrim look prettier or to make it look more realistic so you've effectively asked for all types of ENBs. Again, search Nexus for "ENB"and list search results by downloads or endorsements. Use Nexus category search for textures (it has its own catergory): Mods > Skyrim » Models and textures 3.)Anything that makes the game more realistic environmentally. (Snow that piles up, weather, etc.)The answer to this and pretty much all your questions here will be to again search Nexus - here's the main catergory page: Nexus Mod Categories BTW: I'm not trying to attitudey with you, it's just that Nexus' search engine is there for a reason and can therefore be quite helpful. kryptopyr
Take a look at STEP for graphic/texture recommendations, as well as interface and bug fix mods. GEMS is a good place to start for gameplay mods.
ENergyzed
Pretty much everything in the "Top Files" directory of Skyrim Nexus: Found Here
LongRaider
Thank you guys and I'm very familiar with the nexus its just that some of my favorite mods for Fallout 3/New Vegas have been found from topics like these, and not in the top 100 endorsed files on the nexus. Thank y'all...I'll just browse the nexus like you suggested.
Eckss
Hi, I expected quite a few of these 'What Mods' questions so I saved this answer so that I can answer consistently each time without leaving any out: I play with a lot of Mods and I've tried and rejected many others. I use all of these (among others) and I'm sure they’re all Must Have/Worth Having. Gabrielxoxo
I find 'Deadly dragons' a necessary mod. Dragons start out deadly in the vanilla game, but they don't appear to level as fast as you do. 'Alternate Start - live another life' is a good one if you wanna be a ranger. its great for immersion and for starting game quickly. if you're planning on playing a kahjiit, i strongly suggest 'khajiitspeak'. very well written. i dont want to play without it! even other races...yeah ima freak. oh and i use 'climates of tamriel weather', it adds good sounds and good colour to game. hope it helped. enjoy your game. :)
