Mass Effect- A galaxy at war: Redux

Hi all! Mythic here.

After speaking with a few of you, we came to the conclusion that the Galaxy at war Rp is gonna be revived. While continuing from the original thread after all this time is possible... well it had a few problems, and i think we kinda got ourselves stuck with the whole messing up cerberus bases.

 

So! here i am creating a new Rp, following the same principles as the last:

 

So, this is a basic, Intro of sorts that i believe may work.

My idea was to follow on the extended cut’s version of the domination ending.

 

After the Reapers defeat at the hands of Commander Shepard and the Victory fleet, the Galaxy is Politically in a state of peace, celebrations are held each year to commemorate the defeat of the Reapers, and everyone remembers Shepard as a war hero- The greatest that ever lived.

 

Five years after the Crucible released It's re-writing beam, "Befriending" the reapers so to speak, technology has once again took off in leaps and bounds, using the once deadly reaper tech, dreadnaughts can land on planets, use weaponry similar to that of the reapers themselves, and many more advancements are still being developed through extensive research of the now docile machines, that are now a great help to galactic civilization, rebuilding the damage, and assisting in any way commanded.

 

State of Affairs:

 

The Alliance is still strong Under Admiral Hackett's leadership, and is content with peace and democracy, Humans finally become one of the most respected Races in the galaxy. The New Human councillor is a good man without any of the flaws Udina possessed. The Alliance is Under threat from Batarian's seeking revenge for Shepards actions- That doomed their homeworld to destruction. terrorism is still a major problem.

 

The Citadel is as it always has been- A Major hub of intergalactic trade, culture and democracy, it's leadership firm and confident at rebuilding all lost to the reapers.

 

Thessia is undergoing huge rebuilding efforts by remaining Asari leadership. Progression is steady, and much of the cities are habitable again. Liara T'soni uses her resources as Shadown Broker to assist. Reapers are the main workers of the rebuilding effort.

 

While the Quarian and Geth alliance is difficult, both sides are content with building a new future on Rannoch. Tali and her people are close to their goals of surviving without their suits- a dream that is mere years away from reality.

 

The Krogan are finding their own version of peace- and are now respected as they once were for ending the Rachni wars. Under Urdnot Wrex and his clan, Tuchanka is united, and breeding efforts are going well, with stillbirths decreasing every day. Power hungry groups, and the krogans bloodthirsty nature is not uncommon, but Tuchanka is not so unwelcoming now. They have also made colonization attempts on other planets- granted by the council.

 

The Turians are slowly but surely rebuilding Palaven- While hit extremely hard, revival is possible. Most Turians reside on their other colonies, but gradually more and more rebuilt cities are becoming habited again. Again, reaper servants are aiding reconstruction.

 

The Rachni, true to their Queen's words, assisted in the final push on earth, now residing in an undisclosed location, they are no longer perceived as threats- In fact, many of their workers are still used for construction efforts.

 

The Salarian government is content with studying the Crucible, and all of the reaper tech they can get their hands on, still annoyed that the genophage has been cured, they dare not disturb the fragile peace.

 

Scattered and Broken, the Batarians are now mostly made up of mercenaries- However some cling to democracy, and appeals to the council for the permission to colonize new worlds.

 

After Omega was liberated from Cerberus control by Aria T'loak, rebuilding efforts became the top priority, Criminals banded together to assist, a strange state of affairs, but even rivals are willing to work together to see their safe haven rebuilt. Adjutants are in the one digit population, contained and almost completely eradicated. Aria T'loak Is currently involved in a bloody war with a vindicator group known as "The Eagles" who took afterlife while Aria directed operations from Purgatory. She is currently assembling her fleet to travel to Omega, and eliminate the eagles.

 

After the death of the Illusive man, and the destruction of Chronos station, Cerberus are few in number, their purpose ultimately fulfilled and their organization officially eradicated. However a few Firebases remain, Those within creeping back into Cerberus's role as terrorists, targeting Aliens of all species.

 

That was an idea that came to me, As i said, this is mainly a thread to present ideas, Just present your ideas, and we will all discuss 'em.

This seems good enough for me, I'll just reuse my characters from the last one, with minor editing.

 

Noah Ward

 

Character Name: Noah Ward

Character Race: Human (partially converted to a husk)

Character Class: Vanguard (Destroyer)

 

Gender: Male

Age: 32

Height: 5' 11"

Weight: 157 lbs

Eyes: One hazel eye, the other glows blue due to husk cybernetics

Hair(if aplicable): Brown

Appearance: Noah has short-trimmed, brown hair. He has a medium build. His face is quite gaunt, as though he were starving. He has a tube which runs up the right side of his neck as a result of his partial conversion. His right eye also glows a pale blue, and has glowing markings going up and down from the eye about an inch.

 

Weapons: M-300 Claymore, M-12 Locust, M-5 Phalanx, M-920 Cain

 

Armour/Clothing: Predator H armour, standard pants, shoes, ect. but will wear a long sleeved, hooded sweatshirt and gloves when out in public, he wears the hood so it covers the right side of his face, as the implants are visible on that side of his face and on his right arm and hand.

 

Powers/abilities: Biotic charge, pull, warp, throw, shockwave, singularity, warp ammo, nova, and slam (edit: forgot to put this in, but he can also do the same electrical shockwave thing that husks can)

 

Weapon mods: Full shotgun damage, ammo, and shield piercing upgrades, same upgrades for SMG, full heavy pistol damage, armor piercing, and critical upgrades, and full heavy weapon ammo upgrades.

 

Skills: Decryption and Electronics

 

History/Background: Joined with the alliance, was eventually stationed on a colony near the Persius Veil. After his colony was attacked by the Geth following Sovereign, he was impaled on a Dragon's Tooth while still alive. During the fighting, the Dragon's Tooth he was impaled on was damaged and it lowered before he was converted, he is kept alive by the husk cybernetics implanted in him, these cybernetics also greatly increased his physical strength and biotic abilities. Due to what happened, Alliance psychologists deemed him unfit for duty, thinking he might not be of stable mind, and he was honorably discharged. He began working as a freelance mercenary, but was captured by Cerberus shortly before they began using Reaper tech in themselves. He was eventually freed by Domenic Wynter, a former Cerberus officer who turned against them. The two have been working together ever since, becoming good friends.

Character Class: Scout (basically an infiltrator, but with a shotgun instead of sniper rifle)

Hair(if aplicable): Light brown

 

Weapons: M-358 Talon (with silencer), ML-77 Missile Launcher, M-25 Hornet (with silencer), M-22 Eviscerator, shortsword, omni-blade, wristguard mounted knives

 

Armour/Clothing: Nothing special for clothing (common casual wear), his armor is unique however, it is equipped a special mass effect field generator to decrease his mass substantially, along with a jet-pack on the back and smaller jets on his feet, allowing him to fly short distances and glide along the ground at high speeds, depending on the slope he is going down, he can easily reach over 150 KPH (this requires an open environment though).

 

Appearance: Domenic is of a fairly small build, and does not appear to be very physically imposing, if one were to pick a fight with him, they would be unpleasantly surprised. His hair is cut in a short, military style. While not having any particularly unique features on his face (no scars ect.) his face shows obvious Germanic features.

 

Powers / abilities: Tech overload, damping, AI hacking, incinerate, neural shock, cryo blast, combat drone, energy drain, and proximity mine, concussive, frag, incendiary, and sticky grenades, also very weak biotic pull and throw

 

Weapon mods: All of his weapons have been fully upgraded (full heavy weapon ammo, smg damage and shield piercing, ect.)

 

Skills: Domenic is extremely gifted with technological skills, making him an incredible with decryption and electronics, he is also skilled in first aid, and an expert when dealing with explosives, he is a very weak biotic, so he rarely uses his biotic abilities in offense, instead using them to help accelerate when gliding.

 

History/Background: Domenic Wynter has a... colorful past to say the least. He was an orphan, raised on the streets, he eventually led his own gang to power. At the age of 7 he acquired an omni-tool, he quickly figured out how to use it, within three years he had begun siphoning credits from several banks. At the age of 12, he formed his own small gang, it rose in number and influence quickly due to its funding. He was noticed by Cerberus, due to his incredible potential, they recruited him when he was only 16, during that time, it was discovered he had some biotic potential, however due to his astounding grasp of technology and low potential with biotics, he only underwent minor training and was not experimented on. He later was assigned to work on the Cerberus' Pathfinder project, which, its purpose to design a way to make Cerberus foot soldiers highly mobile in battle, this took the form of the armor he now wears. During the war against the Reapers, he learned of Cerberus' studies of Reaper tech, and their implanting of soldiers with it. He hacked into the network and learned the location of one of the main labs studying it, then erased himself from their records, stole the plans for the armor, and transferred a large sum of credits into his own account. He bought a ship and attacked the base, finding Noah Ward a prisoner in it. He freed Ward, then destroyed the base. The two worked together to do whatever they could during the war. And now they still remain working together.

Hey Mythic, its been awhile I know and I am back once again to the RP forums. I did participate in this RP before but I wasn't totally happy with the character I made so I am making a new one and submitting it. Last game I hopped in very very late. So here is my new guy.

 

 

 

 

Character Name: Tripp O'Neill

 

Character Race: Human

 

Character Class: Sentinel

Hair(if applicable): Scruffy and wild but manageable

 

Weapons: a Predator Mark XIII named Bianca, a few grenades and a knife. Omni Blade and his martial arts training

 

Armour/Clothing: Armored jacket with jeans and sneakers, designed to look like normal clothing

 

Powers / abilities: Throw, Slam and Pull. Overload, Sabotage and Tech Armor along with a bootleg copy of Tactical Cloak (Has a tendency to fail)

 

Weapon mods: Heavy Barrel and Scope

 

Skills: Pistols, Unarmed, Hacking, Sabotage and Medicine

 

History/Background: Tripp was a Alliance Marine, his natural skill with tech and potent biotics landed him in the Intelligence Division. He quickly earned a reputation as a hero but his commanding officer betrayed him. Framing him for murder he was stripped of his rank and medals and sent to prison. Enroute to the prison the ship was attacked by Batarian Pirates and he was freed, the batarians took him in and two days afterwards he depressurized the ship and killed the crew. Taking control of their ship he renamed the vessel to "Lucky Lady" and refitted the ship into an intelligence gathering vessel disguised as a Freighter, he hired a crew of specialists and set out as a mercenary, doing any job that came to him with the clean tactical precision he was known for. His past with various intelligence operatives has aided him greatly in his career as a mercenary. He is often hired by governments and influential people to perform Black Operations across the galaxy, he is also a devote rogue. Working only for himself and his crew, although he has been known to show a soft side for the underdog he has also made a name for himself in the smuggling community, smuggling contraband has been the crew's cover story for many years and only those that can afford him know of his true purpose and the real firepower the Lucky Lady has.

 

 

 

The Lucky Lady

 

Class: Dyna-Corp Tramp Freighter

 

Rigging: Twin cannons hidden in the bow, along with a torpedo launcher. Two Rotary Vulcan's on the Port and Starboard sections that give the Lady a full 360 cover from fast-moving spacecraft. Her engines are Ion Powered Helix Engines, designed for Frigates of the Alliance Navy they give the Lady a strong leg when it comes to speed and maneuverability. Despite her size she can move like a Gunship.

 

Description: On The outside she appears to be a rundown freighter that is two oil filters away from a scrapyard. With a rusted hull and non-functioning turrets most just pass her off as a heap.

 

Background: The Lucky Lady started out as a freighter turned pirate vessel, when Captain O'Neill liberated her he refitted her into the one-of-a-kind spy-ship she is today, giving her the firepower of a Frigate and the speed of a Gunship along with all the technology required to run a successful mercenary outfit. Her crew are all members of The Corporation, a mercenary company that Is owned and operated by its own. To the wider world The Lucky Lady is a smuggling vessel but to those with needs of her true skills and the credits to purchase them, she can be a powerful opponent or a fierce ally.

Skills: Good in CQC, Accuracte and deadly with Assualt rifles and pistols

 

History/Background: Relatively little is known of his history. Essentially, Alex is basically a killer for higher, and the price is tailored to how rich the person has, so a rich person should expect to pay more... but, baring certain circumstances, the contract has to fit his sense of 'honour', eg: there has to be a reason for the person to die. Alex knows how to disapppear when it is called for and is very far from the simple minded killed many

Despite his obvious potential , he was rejected from C-Sec for 'extreme' methods. He decided to turn his skills to becoming a paid killer. It should be noted that very few see his face, and fewer still live to tell the tale

Armour/Clothing: A custom made set of body armour, painted a royal purple. The most notable features are it's high protection and lack of a helmet.

 

Powers / abilities: None

 

Weapon mods: None

 

Skills: Intelligent, intimidating, keeps people loyal (Or else)

 

History/Background: The Boss was born on Earth, in a dangerous neighborhood known for criminal activity. Growing up in this vile area, the boss was inevitably drawn into gang life and spent many years climbing his way up a gang ladder. When he was 23, there was a attack from a rival gang which completely overwhelmed the gang which the Boss belonged to. Naturally, he and the few other survivors fled the city, some leaving the planet. The Boss was one of those who left Earth. Arriving at the citadel, the Boss quickly began to create his own gang. Spending year nurturing it, the Boss had his dream finally realised when his gang attacked and destroyed one of the only real threats to his power. Using the influence gained from this, the Boss coerced smaller gangs into joining him until eventually he controlled almost all criminal activity on the citadel. It may have taken over 30 years, but his gang is unarguably a cancer which was unchecked so long it is now practically irremovable. They have now began to spread their influence out of the citadel and into other planets. There is practically no one the boss wouldn't cross blades with, the few exceptions generally being the organised millitary forces of the councils races. When the boss is angry, you know about it, as he has often killed people with his hands in fits of rage.

Eyes: Blue. After losing her right eye it was replaced with cybernetic glowing red eye.

Hair(if aplicable): Shoulder length black hair.

 

Weapons: Two M-6 Carnifex heavy pistols and a M-15 Vindicator assault rifle, which she rarely uses.

 

Armour/Clothing: (Her armor looks exactly like default Liara's outfit in ME3 only all black. Link.)

 

Powers / abilities: Tactical Cloak and Sabotage.

 

Weapon mods: Magazine Upgrade and Piercing Mod for the assault rifle, Melee Stunner and Pistol Scope for heavy pistols.

 

Skills: Hacking, gathering information, remaining unnoticed if she wishes.

 

History/Background: Not much is known about her history because Leilah prefers to keep it that way. It is only known that she was born and grew up on Earth and was a member of one many gangs but rather than indulging in usual activities she spied on people and blackmailed them. At the age of twenty she left the gang and worked alone. Three years later she became an information broker, dealing mainly with shady people. During one job she double crossed a client who later hired Blue Suns to deal with her. Leilah eventually dealt with the number of mercs sent after her but in the process she lost her right arm and an eye, both were later replaced by cybernetic ones.

After the unfortunate event Leilah became more careful and discrete.
