sovietcretin
I have found too many errors script-wise in the papyrus logs that are created when my current saved games are running and/or end up crashing/freezing every 10 minutes or so. I have tried to work really hard with trying to save clean, waiting 31 days indoors, and in qasmoke... nothing seems to be cleaning these orphaned scripts out of my saved games. It's to a point now when even if i uninstall the mods (the right way) that are towards the end of the script logs that MAY be causing the errors, I still am finding issues. More or less, I was going to start a new play through with an identical character and start fresh to avoid problems. I was planning on using the console to bring me back to my level I was before, along with the perks I had. Inventory I will have to start over, and questing I would have to start from scratch, but asking you all if there may be problems with my scripts/games anyways leveling up to 35, and adding some perks? I'm thinking probably not, but I desperately want to play this game, with the majority of the time enjoying myself and away from troubleshooting mods, rather than the other way around as it has been. Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks.
ripple
We are not psychics, so please post your load order/mod list and papyrus log...
sovietcretin
There's a reason why I didn't post that, refer to OP.... mods are not even in my load order anymore and are still running scripts...
sovietcretin
And besides, I'm less concerned about my mods, rather than my new game I'm about to make as I'm through with troubleshooting.
Georgiegril
To minimize problems with your new game, completely uninstall everything, not just by deleting local content on steam, but going through any associated files (like your plugins folder, etc) and delete everything. Restart you computer after that to clear your cache. Then reload the game, start a new character, no mods. After exiting Helgen, slowly add mods one or two at a time. Completely read every word of each mod's description, readme, installation instructions, etc. Do not take shortcuts. After installing, run BOSS for load order, play through for a while and if its all good, add a couple more--again after completely investigating the mod and following the installation exactly. Run BOSS, play awhile, repeat.Do not ignore any warnings in the BOSS log about compatibility, etc. Also check each mod carefully to make sure it is compatible with your DLCs and other plugins. Aso be aware of your computer's resources, and that make sure that your computer is able to handle the mods you want (especially true with enb-type mods and mods that spawn a lot). If you decide a mod is not working for you, return to the mod authors site, and read carefully how to properly remove the file. Most problems with scripts, crashes, etc. can be avoided if you take the time up front to ensure compatibility with your specific game ans computer, and also take time to properly remove mods. BBen has a lot of good information on his website, here.
