Unused items in the GECK

Was looking through the list of Terminals to place one in my home, and came across a terminal called EvergreenSecretTerminal. Use Info reported it's not used anywhere in the game. I took a look at it and it was set to display the meesage "It's a secret to everybody," (a Zelda reference), and then it was supposed to open a secret door in Evergreen Mills, though the command was commented out. (And there is no such door, I checked.)

 

Anyone found any other items or places that were started but not included in the game?

I believe an item called "Army Power Armor" is included in game, but not used. We'll probably see it used in Operation Anchorage, though - I think Bethesda was already working on their DLC before they released the game, and accidentally left the Army Power Armor in the release version.

Naw, the Army power armor is in there, I got it on my first play through, though I can't recall where exactly (its script is a great reference if you want to make gear that does stuff automatically, or talks to you)

yeah alot of maps expansion maps in the geck...just got to find them...there are also alot fo terrains commented out that werent used...

There's a replacement sign for Moriarty's that says Gob's, as if there were going to be a way for him to take over the bar...

That's interesting, pending what limited bit you can do for Gob. *crosses fingers for expansion content* What can I say, I have a soft spot for Ghouls. :biggrin:

Very interesting! Scrounging around in the GECK like this is probably the only way we'll find out what things may have been planned, unless some dev speaks up about dropped ideas.

There is what looks like, the whole Anchorage map in the Geck.

I only saw one of the maps, but it looked dull and like every other building for the most part. I was hoping for some outdoors snow battles or something :(

 

Hopefully that'll be in the mod. I'd rather not have something similar to what the game already delivers, in terms or locales.
