Defile
I was looking at my character and other pictures of oblivion and I noticed that all the characters with long hair, suddenly seem to have none while wearing a helmet. So I was wondering might anyone know of a mod or would be able to make one that shows your hairstyle comming from undearneath your helm at the back? thanks
ghastley
Hair is removed when a helmet is equipped, but something that looks like a helmet could be equipped in the amulet or tail slot at the same time as hair. So it's possible, by converting all helmets to tail slot items, but nobody's going to do that much work for it. However a specific headgear item, like a headband or tiara that expects to reveal the hair could/would be made that way.

Why would you leave your hair down, to be a target for your enemy to grab?
exanimis
You braid bits of glass and steel shards into your hair and braid a weight into the end. If the braid is long enough, it becomes another useful weapon and the steel and glass prevents anyone from holding onto it and causing you too many problems. Hair has been used as weapons by oriental races throughout history. I just thought I'd put my two cents in since my own hair is long enough to tuck into my belt. A nice solution to this problem, and one I'm working on myself, is a set of headgear that has a wig attached. If for instance the player puts on a crown their hairstyle would change. I'm working on a head guard for female characters that is sort of a head band made of metal but also has a small amount of protection for the face. I hope I can get it to work, I'm sure I will sooner or later.

myrmaad
i remember a mod a while back where hair was part of the helmet, but haven't seen it in a while I've seen it too, in my game, but I consistently ignored it, since foremost, it gives you a completely different hair color and style than your character's anyway. As has been mentioned, the ideal solution is mapping headcovers to the amulet slot when it's necessary for the hair to show, such as the hat my character is wearing in my siggy. I've been thinking that changing the hair would be a problem. I had some wigs once that looked good outside but they were all black inside, it wasn't a big deal but it irritated me. lol With the hat on the amulet slot, do you have a lot of clipping problems?Do you use the all rings and amulets mod? It doesn't clip with hats. The amulets & rings mods: Nope -- "hated it". I like amulets and rings. I want mine to show, and I effing hate when people hide amulets and rings in their clothing and armors. In fact before I install most mods, I look at them in the CS and make all my changes: create icons if they didn't, change the attributes like that hide feature, and map the icons and meshes correctly if they weren't to my standard. :D
