hlaalu24
I'm having an issue either if I try to build a new character from the beginning, or if I try to modify my existing character, I'm not able to move past the select race option (i.e. I can't choose body or face). My only option is to hit "r" and exit. I've read that having multiple hair mods can cause the issue, but I only have installed (apachii). I'm not sure where else to look or how to debug this issue to move on. Here are my mods:Skyrim.esm Active Update.esm Active ApachiiHair.esm Active AP Skyrim.esm Active BBLuxurySuite.esm Active Mannequin.esm Active RiverHelm.esm Active HighResTexturePack01.esp Active HighResTexturePack02.esp Active Arrowsmith.esp Active bondolf a rich merchant.esp Active moredragonloot.esp Active Convenient Horses.esp Active auto unequip arrows.esp Active BBLSspouse.esp Active BBLuxurySuiteExt.esp Active BecomeKingOfRiverHelm.esp Active bluecreek estate.esp Active castle strunmah.esp Active GetArrowsBack.esp Active Hemet2CircletReplacer.esp Active whiteruninenhanced.esp Active zzzEverlastingWeaponEnchant.esp Active TheEyesOfBeauty.esp Active TemptressVixen.esp Active BBLSHousecarlsmovein.esp Active BBLSVisitors.esp Active Thanks for any help or tips

hlaalu24
Finally figured it out late last night. It was something with my .ini file. Not sure exactly what line I changed caused the problem, but reverting back to a bone stock ini fixed the problem.

fiewiel
If the problem was a changed ini you just rename your custom ini und start the skyrimlauncher. The default ini (and pref) files will be automatically created if the game doesnt find them.
lowenz
Yes, but I'm interested in WHAT can cause the problem!
lowenz
Yes, but I'm interested in WHAT can cause the problem!OK, found the root of the problem! It's an old tweak in Skyrim.ini [interface] fSafeZoneX=0fSafeZoneY=0fSafeZoneXWide=0 fSafeZoneYWide=0 Remove those lines and the character creation process will be allright. Slicevicious
Topic bump...I'm having this issue now, too... but the following lines aren't in my Skyrim.ini under [interface] fSafeZoneX=0fSafeZoneY=0fSafeZoneXWide=0 fSafeZoneYWide=0 So I'm kind of in the dark. Does anyone else know a thing or two?
