DsGBiohazard
It's an incredibly simple idea, and it would solve all sorts of lag. Initially, I want all the Non NPC textures to be INSANELY reduced. The reason I am suggesting something of this scale is because it would be very easy to do, and it would help so many people that don't have the best rigs and would like to mod their character's aesthetics. So any help would be awesome! Oh and items, don't reduce their quality either. But please reduce the terrain, water, and foliage's textures. That and anything related. So just NPCs, player, and items should not be touched. So again, any help would be awesome! Edited January 18, 2013 by DsGBiohazard

DsGBiohazard
Since it is easy to do...you can do it yourself :D It seems like I somehow offended you. Please, pay no mind to my ignorance. I haven't the slightest clue on the difficulty of this. Well I mean, I do. It's the opposite of improving, but I still don't know much. But I'm sorry if I offended, I would really appreciate this! DsGBiohazard
Since it is easy to do...you can do it yourself :D I take it you won't help then? It seems I have made a fool of myself on Nexus... I am ashamed... I must now commit seppuku.

TheGreenLion
There is quite a lot of tedium involved with downsizing every single texture in the game. I thought someone had done a mod of that nature already.

I thought someone had done a mod of that nature already. Yeah, I kinda thought about that too. While downgrading a texture initially isn't exactly a project, doing just about all of them is. Well I guess I can only hope this will happen some day.
senterpat
This does exist, I'm positive I've seen it, I can't find it, but if it's important to you I'd do an advance search for performance and try to find it.

Well, no reason to decline. Sure, why not.
Deleted1308005User
Actually, there is some sort of mod for this, which works like patcher and systemically reduces texture size of all textures in textures folder. (did I use textures- word too much?) It doesn't reduce the quality, just texture size, thus reducing FPS loss but still keeping the look of new textures. I'll try to search for it as well. Said and done, this is what I meant: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12801 Edited January 19, 2013 by Guest
