Image Shorting Out

This is a very new problem. When I'm playing Skyrim the landscape kind of flashes quickly, like it's trying to load something new. Occasionally I get a split second lag, too. I used to not have this problem, but I've done a few things to Skyrim to try and make it better:

1. I edited my graphics settings for Skyrim with my Catalyst Control Center for my GPU to see how much better it'd make Skyrim. I have a Radeon HD 7850, which is a fairly powerful GPU so I figured I could handle quite a bit of graphics processing. Immediately upon entering Skyrim I saw a huge difference in performance, so I went back and reset the settings to where they were.

2. I've messed with the Antialiasing and Anti-Stropic Filtering options in the Skyrim menu before I launch the game. I don't remember what they were orignally, which is kind of bad. I've noticed that if I take off the Antialiasing all together the image flashing is worse, at the cost of some performance.

3. I've downloaded A LOT of new textures, like landscape textures and things like that.

Any recommendations as to what I should do? I would very much like to keep all of these textures, but I want my game to run smoothly.

I used to use a Radia GPU. I had all kinds of issues with driver problems. Some drivers work and some don't. See if you can change the driver version you are using before you start pulling hair out or slamming your keyboard into your monitor. It might be something really simple if you are fortunate enough. You may have to try a few different one. make sure you write down the version numbers so you can go back or recall which ones you did try. If I remember, they had a lot of them.
