Hi there!

I was hugely in to Fallout 3 mods, so much so that I've sort of learned my lesson and came here first. I'm hoping some people can toss the names of a few mods my way that I might be interested in / are known to work well together. The problem I came across with F3 was dealing with the raging insanity that was compatability. I used FWE, but then I needed a compat patch for XCalibur guns, which needed compat patches for addons, etc. etc. etc. In the end I ended up with a very fun Fallout 3 that got crashier and crashier, until I eventually added one more addon and the whole thing exploded and was unrecoverable (even removing the mod and going to old saves just stopped working).

Now, I'm not totally lazy, I did discover http://www.skyrimgems.com/

Basically I'm looking to mimic my F3 experience. I'm straining my brain here, but mostly - I used FWE (great for alternate starts, and an excellent character system overhaul), IMCN (food / hunger / sleep), Mart's Mutant Mod (tons more enemies, major overhaul of several lame ones to be challenging without being 'cheaty'), WeaponModKits ('crafting', I suppose would be the Skyrim analogy), and of course about three thousand gigs of graphics improvements, like EVE (one of my favorites, made lasers more pew pewy), enhanced nights, dynamic streetlights, weather, etc.

The big difference I've noticed is that I haven't seem to found many 'supermods' like FWE, insomuch as I've seen many mods that are the component parts broken up. This worries me because the beauty of a supermod is that it's been engineered to be totally compatible with itself and thus you can have many components into one. F3 only had a couple of hunger systems and IMCN's was basically the best and most expansive. I see IMCN for Skyrim, but it says there's many problems with it and Imp sadly said it's just a shadow of its former self.

I'm hoping some kind souls can give me a hand and share what they've learned. What are the major 'must-haves' that work best together? On the other hand, if someone already has a mod setup that works fine and sounds like something I could like, you could just dump your mod order in here.

Thank you!

look for articles like "25 best skyrim mods" ... AND, on nexus, look at 100 highest rated mods of all time. ... gopher's vids on youtube are pretty informative and balanced. When looking at a mod on the nexus, read the comments section... and note how many endorsements it has garnerd over how long. (A new mod will have fewer endorsements than a mod thats been out fopr a year, and updated.)
