SmoMan71
Some of the player home mods in Skyrim are truly amazing. I have yet to be fully satisfied by any of them however. Like many other people here I really love the massive castle type homes. Riverhelm, Castle Grey, Deus Mons, and so many others... but none of them are quite right. I also love the idea of Tundra Defense and how you can continually improve upon your home. I would pay good money to see a player home with the following traits. 1. Lore friendly to the point where it feels like it really does belong in the game.2. Something that feels deserved. In the later levels gold is pretty damn cheap to come by and killing a few bandits for a new house does feel a little cheap. 3. Equal parts aesthetics and function. 5. Gold sinks, as they help keep gold worth something in the game. 4. Utilization of Hearthfire. Gold sinks are nice but needing to track down other materials and even put them together yourself just seems more fun to me. Not to mention it helps the progression last longer. Unfortunately my moding capabilities are pretty insignificant. It took me hours to move a plate around back in TES:VI. I do not have the time, inclination or patience to get any better at it. I have however been told that I am a good writer by more than one of my English professors and I have plenty of ideas for a story behind the home. I do realize that this is most likely a pipe dream that will never actually see the light of day. If anyone is interested let me know.
Jason2112
Ya, I made that home and I live it it now. Only problem is I started off from some other mod and it is linked to it.I asked the guy who made it if I could post or if he wanted it to post but never got a reply or a second look.Over a year to make it too. Started off with that mod ... Dragon Falls Manor. ...
