Drives unavailable (433) error message when launching Vortex

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has had this error message pop up before.

The file "C:\Program Files\WindowsA...\Microsoft.Chelan_1.1619.0.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe" is currently not accessible. if this is a network drive, please make sure it's connected. Otherwise make sure the drive letter hasn't changed and if necessary, update the path within Vortex.

I can't figure out why Vortex is even trying to scan that location. I've gone though the settings in the app but can't determine why its trying to access this folder. I have drive scanning turned off and from what I can gather this folder is a Junction link to the Xbox Halo Game that lives on my E: Drive.

Yes, Chelan is the code name for Halo MCC, which is a supported game so on startup Vortex tries to determine if the game is actually installed (As far as Vortex knows initially the directory could just be empty.)

The problem is that these Windows apps directories are not junction links, they are something special, afaik undocumented, Microsoft introduced for the Windows store specifically.

The game itself is in an encrypted archive which then gets mapped into the directory tree using some driver. For some reason this driver sometimes fails and makes the directory unavailable, which then gets reported to Vortex as if it was a hardware defect.

There isn't really much we can do about this, if we didn't report the error users would have no clue as to why MCC isn't discovered when they know it's installed. If this happens to you repeatedly (so far all reports were single occurrences that disappeared after the next reboot) and you don't intend to mod MCC you might want to disable the MCC extension (on the extensions screen).
