Moksha8088
Check out the Presets - ENB category here at the Nexus for something which looks best to you. You might find you only need something simple and performance friendly like this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2316? dc2008242
What exactly is an ENB?There are two major things, the program ENBSeries, and ENB Presets. The description of ENBSeries from their website says: ENBSeries is 3d graphic modification for games like TES Skyrim, TES Oblivion, Fallout, GTA, Deus Ex, and others. It work by modifying render functions calls of the games and applying additional effects.Long story short, ENBSeries is a graphical mod you can put in many games that makes stuff look better, almost like magic.ENB Presets are basically where someone has configured ENBSeries to look a certain way, people will then upload their presets to the Nexus for others to enjoy. What ENB should i download?I can't say for certain, people have different tastes. But I can point you to a few popular ones such as PRT - PhotoRealistic Tamriel, Rudy ENB, and the one I use, SkyrimSE Re-Engaged ENB.I haven't experimented with different ones, so I can't say much about the ones I don't use, but I know Skyrim Re-Engaged has an option for Obsidian Weathers (which I use), and then it also comes packaged with 3 different variations that are different levels of quality/performance, I use the medium/middle one.ENB's often need to be adjusted for different lighting/weather mods, which is why I mentioned that mine had an option for Obsidian Weathers. How do i setup an ENB?You will first need to install the latest version of ENBSeries (for SkyrimSE) from their website, then your preferred ENB Preset from the Nexus.Installation usually involves manually downloading an archive and then moving the files into your game's directory.I know of a way to also do it with Vortex (still requires manual download) but I don't know for other mod managers.Manual installation should work regardless of mod managers, implementing it into a mod manager just makes it more convenient to toggle/remove. Here are some videos for how to install that seem to be good.Vortex (My Preferred Method)ManualThat should hopefully cover everything, let us know how it goes! On a side note, there is also a thing called ENBoost, I don't really know much about this, I believe it's for allowing more access to RAM for 32-bit applications like Oldrim and thus isn't needed for SkyrimSE and Fallout4. sopmac45
I use all the time SkyrimSE-Re-engaged ENB. As dc2008242 said, you must install ENBSeries for SkyrimSE and if you go to that mod ( SkyrimSE-Re-engaged ENB ), the author will explain step by step how to install everything. You must read carefully about how to install it and it is not difficult at all, it is very easy if you follow his instructions. To install the ENBSeries, you only have to install two files by dragging and move to them to your game directory and to install the SkyrimSE-Re-Engaged ENB, first you must decide what weather mod you will use in your game, install that weather mod and then install the SkyrimSE-Re-Engaged file according to the weather mod you previously installed. For example, if you decided to install the weather mod : Vivid Weathers, you must install that file from SkyrimSE-Re-Engaged as well. I am using now Dolomite Weathers so I chose Dolomite Weathers file from the SkyrimSE-Re-Engaged. And the process to install the ENB is the same : once you extract the files ( I used 7zip ), you choose the file to match your weather mod, decide if you want the light, medium or ultimate ( this is the best if you have enough VRAM ) and just drag and move them to your game directory. Once in game, press Shift + enter and the ENB menu will show up. Watch the video from this mod and the author will explain you how to use that menu. You will love what it does. You can do practically everything to enhance your graphics, lighting, saturation, gamma, contrast, bloom, etc, etc, etc for each time of the day ( dawn, dusk, interior, day, night, etc, etc, ). Last but not the least, I also use VORTEX but this mod SkyrimSE-Re-Engaged must be installed manually. Just save it to your downloads and use the 7zip to extract here and then use again the 7zip to open archive and install the files in your game directory. Good luck and enjoy the unmatched beauty of an ENB. Skyrim will looks now, simply superb !!
