sopmac45
Why don't you use VORTEX ? Do yourself a favor, forget about NMM and use Vortex and you will be pleased. Once you setup Vortex ( there is a Knowledge section to teach you how to set it up correctly ), the only thing you would have to do is to download the mods that you want, install them, deploy them ( if you have auto-deploy on, Vortex will do that for you automatically ) and if you have the AUTO-SORT function ON in the Plugins Section, VORTEX will auto-sort your plugins automatically so you do not have to user LOOT at all. It is just as simple as I said. Very simple, very straightforward and free of troubles. Now, in relation to what mods are the best, that is a very personal decision that you need to make base on the way you want to play your game. But in general, follow the below instructions : - Install VORTEX and set it up accordingly. Read the Knowledge section.- Install your game via Steam. - Play your game ( without any mod ) and once you get out of Helgen and get to Riverwood, save it and exit ( this will generated and install all your .ini files automatically in Documents \ My games - Setup your Prefs.ini and your Custom.ini to mod your game ( follow Gopher video instructions - You Tube - )- Install SKSE ( this is must have and can only be installed manually ) in your game directory.- Now, activate Skyrim in VORTEX and start downloading.- What mods ? My recommendation is to choose from the Most Popular All Time section. - Read each mod : Description, Requirements, Post and Bugs before downloading the mod. Failure to do that will get you in trouble. You must read to know how the mode works, what it does, what dependencies the mod have, etc, etc.- As you continue downloading mods, probably VORTEX will tell you there are some conflicts. As soon as you download a mod and Vortex give you that message, click on the red bolt of the last mod you downloaded and a small screen will pop uo and you need to choose from that window if you want your last mod to install before or after the mods it does conflict with. Vortex may suggest ( recommended ) and if so, go for it. Trust it 100% and if for any reason it does not give you any recommendation, you must decide if you want to install that mod before or after the list of mods it does conflict with. ( that is why I try not to download / install two mods of the same kind, to avoid confusion and also because the mod that override the other, is the one that will apply in your game so what is the point to have two of the same kind when only one will apply ? ) - NOTE : there is a way to have some files from both mods that could be installed at the same time but I would not get into that now if you are new to Vortex - Again, if you had your AUTO-SORT on in the Plugin Section, forget about sorting your plugins since VORTEX will do it for you like magic. Once you finish, clean your Skyrim Master Files via xEdit. Follow instructions in the net. Play your game and enjoy !!!
