hardarg
So I decided to start all over in making a new and different armor, and almost done only: I think I may have missed out on setting something in the editor, but NPCs keep telling me to put some clothes on when I'm wearing armor. lolI've already changed values for armor weight, rating and value, but still nothing. Also, my custom armor doesn't seem to be affected by the body weight slider, and I have _0 and _1.nif in the same folder. Only difference I see is the neck gap that fills when I set the body weight to max. I'm using CBBE's bodyshape for outfits, if it helps. I really appreciate help in this matter, thanks. Put one of these Keywords on your armor (depending which one will fit best) ArmorCuirass or ClothingBody
hardarg
Thanks so much!! That fixed the naked problem, :D I already fixed the problem with the weight slider when in min and max value, anything in between the vertices explode all over the place though. VectorPlexus
I just replied to someone having a similar issue, might be what I described: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/895634-exporting-from-blender-changes-vertex-number/
hardarg
Thank you so much VectorPlexus and Ragicka! I finally got it working properly with the weight sliders. For 3DS Max users, here's what I've done. STEP ONE:Prepare your scene with the following:Your Custom Armor, and your bodyshape models of _0 and _1 is ready for export, and has the following stacks: - BSDismember... -Skin -Editable Poly STEP TWO:If you've already modeled your _1 model beforehand, you can skip this step, otherwise. Clone your custom armor model. In your Modifier panel, collapse all the stacks in your CLONE model. Then make your changes to fit the _1 bodyshape model. Once you finished move to step three. STEP THREE:In your original custom armor, add a MORPHER modifier between the Editable Poly and Skin modifer. Your stack should now look like this: -BSDismember... -Skin -Morpher -Editable Poly STEP FOUR:In the Morpher modifier, pick your CLONED custom armor as a morph target. Increase and decrease the morpher channel value to check if it works accordingly. And we're done with the armor. But wait! Let's not forget about the bodyshape! :) STEP FIVE:Select your _1 bodyshape model. And collapse all stack. STEP SIX:In the _0 bodyshape model, copy the SKIN and BSDISMEMBER modifer then collapse all the stack, you should now only have the Editable Poly modifer in your _0 bodyshape model. STEP SEVEN:Now add a Morpher modifier to your _0 bodyshape model and pick the _1 bodyshape model as a morph target. Again, check by inreasing and decreasing the morph target value. STEP EIGHT:Remember the SKIN and BSDISMEMBER modifier we copied earlier? Now we paste it back again to our _0 bodyshape model, but make sure that the modifiers are on TOP of the Morpher modifier, so it should look like this: -BSDismember... -Skin -Morpher -Editable Poly Once that's done. Save your scene and we're almost done!! STEP NINE:Now this is how I did it. First select your original custom armor, and go to the Morpher modifier, then change the morph target value to 0. Collapse TO stack (WARNING: DO NOT use COLLAPSE ALL! You will lose all your modifiers except your Editable Poly.) STEP TEN:Now select _0 bodyshape model, and in the Morpher modifier, change the value to 0 as well. Again, Collapse TO stack. STEP ELEVEN:NOW EXPORT. BUT DO NOT SAVE!! STEP TWELVE:Undo previous actions, until your original custom armor and _0 bodyshape model have their Morpher modifier in their stack again. STEP THIRTEEN:Repeat STEP NINE and TEN, BUT instead of changing the morph target value to 0, increase it to 100. Collapse To stack for both, then export! STEP FOURTEEN:Do the changes necessary for Nifskope and CK, then Import to Skyrim, and ENJOY!!! Hope that helps. :) Again, Big thanks to VectorPlexus and Ragicka for providing helpful information and input. 8) Edited January 29, 2013 by hardarg
