  1. I've ceased my modding/online activity.
  2. far too complex… use Nifskope RC-5 to import OBJs instead, save a nif copy, open both original and copy nifs on the last nifskope version, copy/paste from copy to original, done! =)
  3. yes, I dont want to name and shame, thats why I'm asking first… the thing is, where to report? because there is no report link on his user profile, so I guess I'll do it py finding some post he did randomly somwhere else and report it there. Thanks!
  4. well, the comments were deleted but I still have a printscreen of one of his comments which was generally homophobic in nature. I only did on one mod, but he actually posted a similar comment on another mod page. So, can I post the printscreen? (I also have his user ID btw)
  5. As some of you might know, I've grown weary of the Nexus community due to trolling regarding Male related mods. So, if you are looking for my mods, I'm sure you can find them just by googling my name! Thanks for your interest!
  6. yes, just export the body NiTriShape in Nifskope as OBJ, and you're ready to go. But ofc, OBJ alone will not allow you to keep weights. My workflow is usually using blender (3DS Max, in some cases has some issues keeping the vertex count order when exporting to OBJ) - I use blender 2.49 for import/export NIF operations only (NifTools suite for 2.62 is still under development and you may be able to successfully import or not NIFs, but exporting is not working as good) - In 2.6x I start by joining both _0 and _1 as shape keys (AKA Morph Targets) - Then I just export to OBJ, and bring it to zBrush, do stuff, both for _0 and _1, when I'm done, export the OBJ back to Blender, and use the awesome Lichtwerk MeshTransfer addon (get it here) to transfer the weights from the body to the armor. This will give me a good base to start off the weights, or you can just simply use the automatic bone influence when parenting a mesh to a skeleton.
  7. Probably you forgot to set the Texture to use UV (usually it defaults to generated), thats probably whats happening there. If you want, send me a link to the Blend file, I'll check whats wrong with it, and export it for you. PS-I always work with 2.49 for export/imports, and havent got any problem I couldnt solve. And when I do there are always some tricks that you can do to go around some more peculiar Nifs.
  8. I'm off until further notice... I''ll still hang around Hall of Torque in case anyone needs me...
  9. ah such a wonderful thing... stupidity... I actually like stupid people, they make me feel even smarter!
  10. Thanks to everyone, for giving so much support to SOS. Its beyond any of our expectations. Also thank you for those ppl who are not there to download it, but rather to give us a positive feedback <3
    1. coolystguy

      coolystguy

      Its a great mod thanks!
  11. The SOS Revealing Armors Module will be available late at night 5th June, GMT
  12. I've talked with Smurf, and we've agreed SoS v2.x will be released 4th of June
  13. I blame Smurf for failling the release date as promised =/
  14. Yay! SOS has been allowed on Nexus! Thanks to all the Moderators that helped me clarifying the issue and to everyone that has been supportive to SOS <3
  15. Yes, that was my opinion aswell about The Nexus acting, otherwise there wouldnt be any male mods hosted here. And I'm quite aware of the copyright and intellectual property issue aswell. I would never publish anything that used resources by modders (or companies) with their express consent. Just like I wouldnt like if someone else would do the same for my work. And I'm quite aware that images follow a different rule from mods, although you raised one more important issue I forgot to ask. In order for me to be able to post Adult Images on my mod's page, I would need to get a Supporter Membership? Or are the Mod's image library independent from this feature since its an Adult tagged mod? What about images posted by users on the same mod page? Do I need to moderate them and scrap any posted image containing adult content? Because I was just browsing for some members that have adult tagged mods, and their mods have naked imagery there, both from them and users, and they are not supporters or premium. Sorry about all the noob questions, but I've never uploaded anything here, so I just want to make sure I'm going by the book and dont infringe any rules =/ Thanks again for your feedback =)
  16. Thanks for your fast and concrete answer Zaldiir. And to Thandal aswell ofc. I do know that I wasnt explicit enough on my first post, but I didnt wanted to get myself the risk of being banned just by mentioning it. And for what is worth, let me just tell you that this decision will make some modders with whom I'm working with, very happy, as they can keep their work in here, and it will score some positive awareness. You see, there are some ppl that feel that Nexus staff is a bit "homophobic" about their content, but I actually believe that all you do is based on reports you receive. And no doubt, the gaming community, in general, but not wanting to make a stereotype out of it, is a bit homophobic when it regards to content. I'm pretty sure, some people wouldnt hesitate in reporting a naked male image, but probably wouldnt do the same for a female one... I've have encountered such situations, but instead of reporting it to the mods, I take the more pratical approach of PMing the user in question and warn them about violating the ToS. That way I can bring awareness to them, withouth involving Mods or bans or warnings. Its a win-win situation =) anyway... thanks again to The Nexus team, on my behalf and on all the ppl that insisted I clarified a bit better the situation at hand! <3
  17. SOS - Schlongs of Skyrim (I really dont find it ofensive or obscene, although I understand if its against the rules) (its a mod that lets you have animated male genitalia, although the design struture can also be implemented for hair, wings, etc)
  18. Well, ofc thats what I said, I dont see a problem with that, but I want to make sure I dont break any rules. I understand the need for those. I occasionally work as a Photography Editor for a Press Room, and I need to remove certain images that cannot be seen by the public. So believe me when I say I do understand the need for having rules. And I know that first and foremost, The Nexus is just a business like any other. But now I have 2 moderators giving me different advices... More and more I'm getting lost if I should/can or not host my mod here... But anyway thanks for your replies, I just wished it was something more specific and concrete, and pointing towards the same direction and opinions =/
  19. I'm sorry to bother you again but I still have some doubts regarding the last issue... And I'm mainly insisting on this matter, because I have quite some people that know about the mod, that have seen screenshots and a video showing some animation or simply are beta testers, still insist that I should publish this over here... - So... the term I'm using its derived from Yiddish, and it means snake, so I see no harm in using a term that means something pretty innocent right? or can't I use english words that were inherited by Hebrew/Judaic culture and etymology? I mean this, because its quite unlogical if someday, someone decides to start using the word chair as a slang word, and we start considering chair as an obscene word. - Also, there is another issue... You see my mod offers something very unique, that never existed in Oblivion and its the first of his kind in Skyrim. So, even though I havent published it, some of my beta testers are other modders that also have their work published over here. Some of them already told me that my mod was the only reason they're getting back to Skyrim. And they are/will be doing mods specifically for my mod (which consists in a new body type + customization and animation framework). So my question is... Can they host mods here for this new body/framework, or will they be forced to host their work somewhere else? For example... Lets say my mod is called... SOS - Sausages of Skyrim (sausages is not obscene right? Am I allowed to say Sausage? or Snake? or the Yiddish word for snake which is Shlang?). If they upload their mod here by having in its name something like: Dawnguard Armor for SOS... or New Sausage Shape for SOS... Will they suffer some kind of retaliation? will they need to pull their mods down? will they be forced to host it somewhere else? I am however willing to take some concession on my end and rename the mod either to Sausages of Skyrim or Shlangs of Skyrim if you feel that the Shlang variation I want to use is just too obscene. (I'm hoping by now that you have figured out what is the specific term I want to use is, btw...). Quite frankly the reason I want to keep the name is just because its a pun, and its catchy (SOS thingy). But I'll be happy enough with sausage, snake or shlang. Also I'd like to point out that on Help Topic: Contacting the moderating team & reporting postsIts instructed to click on The Moderating Team Well, I clicked on The Moderating Team and all I get is nothing. So maybe The Moderating Team (I mean the link ofc) should be checked and revised, or maybe the Help topic about contacting Mods/Admins. Once again, thanks for your time and patience on helping me. Cheers!
  20. I don't consider slang to be obscene though, I'm pretty sure most ppl through their life time have used more then once slang terms, so will that make that person obscene? I really dont think so... Anyway, no, I'm not gonna change the mod's name. Artists and authors, should never be questioned about their work and creativity, else we wouldnt have art at all. Take the examples of Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, even Renassaince artists or classical roman or greek art! What about pre-historic forms of expression that portraited exagerated Venus or Phallus? What about writers like Henry Miller or Anais Nin? Anyway, like I said I understand that rules are to be abide to. Thanks so much for your time.
  21. Not sure if this is the best place to ask this, the "Contact Us" seemed mostly to me regarding services provided by The Nexus. So, I was thinking of uploading a mod here at the Nexus, with Adult content. Although I think it's safe as long as you tag it as Adult and it doesnt have any unlawful Adult content (which it doesnt), I'm concerned however about breaking any rules, specially regarding the Mod's name. I dont really consider it offensive, but I know for example, if I used such a user name I'd probably get banned (and thats one of the reasons why I don't want to mention the Mod's Name here at the forums). So can I contact some Moderator or someone, to better expose the situation? Last thing I want is to break any rules, and I actually understand and am all in favour for rules. Thanks in advance.
  22. This is only half true. You don't need to convert it into an actual .esm-file. You do however need to esmify the first mod using Wrye Bash while working on the second mod inside the kit. @BlueArchon: What is supposed to trigger your second quest to start? I was totally unware you could "esmify" an ESP without turning it to an ESM (I knew that Wrye Bash had that option, but I just assumed it did the same as described in the CK article)... So I'm guessing I can keep editing an esmified ESP in the CK, instead of having 2 files, right? Thanks for the tip! Ummm no, Game.GetFormFromFile(int aiFormID, string asFilename) That is a very cool function indeed, but you can only read from forms, not write in them (adding new stuff to FormLists in the target file, for example). Also, it only works if you are not expecting the FormID to be changed, which could cause the 2nd ESP to no longer work, if the first is edited. Thanks for letting me know though, I didnt knew this function =)
  23. Ok I have a question... I have nothing whatsoever against nudity (I'm doing an adult mod, feel very confortable with the human body, even had naked model drawing classes during college...). I do understand however the policy on The Nexus, in filtering those to prevent from kids or ppl that are generally grossed out by that type of content (*rolleyes*) to stumble upon it. Yesterday I saw a post in the forums, containing an image that was obviously depicting a woman breast and genitalia. I kindly sent a PM to the user in question telling him, that maybe he should edit his image for his own good. I thought it would be nice, polite and maybe a good away to solve that issue without involving moderators. But he told me since it was a beast race model, the ToS regarding nudity policy, would not apply because it was not considered human. Is this true, are we allowed to post naked imagery of beast races? (when I mean Beast Races I mean Skyrim's Khajiit and Argonian ofc, not lolspiders or lolrabbits)
  24. I seriously doubt if thats possible. Mounting is achieved by "parenting" the actor to a special bone on the mount called SaddleBone. the engine just isnt prepared to mount in a second saddlebone as far as I know... I could try to put a saddlebone on the default character skeleton NIF, and then make it the follower mount the player (LOL) to simulate a new saddle for the mount.
